I did a cardiovascular survey back in November and I am still waiting on a check. I call and email them and get told the check was mailed in May but never received it. They tell me only one person is doing payroll and that they are backed up.Business response

Dear *****,
Please check your mail for a standard sized envelope that says Virtue Research. They are white envelopes. All three checks were confirmed mailed on 6/14/24. In checking the bank accounts, none of them were deposited.

Marketing surveys done for honorarium (one in Oct 2023 (P1077), one in Nov 2023 (P1259) and one in Dec 2023 (P1339)). Still to this day, no payment for the service that I had provided has been made ($170 total).I was supposed to receive the payment 6-12 weeks after the study closure. I contacted the company multiple times. On April 2, they said they made a request to expedite the process which could take anywhere from 1-4 weeks. Still no checks and today is 6/13.This is a fraudulent business behavior and they are literally scamming people.Business response

Hello, ********************* has been a member of our panel taking surveys since 2021. He has cashed $910 in checks for studies he has participated in. We are not a fraud company if we have paid him and he has cashed our checks. The amounts he has referred to are incorrect. I am attaching the amounts that were due to him, it was $25, $150 and he recently took a survey that was $30. All of the amounts that ************** has referenced are well within the terms and conditions he has agreed to. Each project that is run *** take weeks, or months to field, so there is an audit process which allows us to ensure that we pay the correct respondents the amount that they have earned. The three remaining checks are on their way, well before the timeline listed in our FAQs/Terms. All check numbers, check amounts, projects, and even the high priority label is visible in the attached document.

I am not *********************. I have no idea who they are talking about. My account is under *****************. So they sent confidential information about their customer named ********************* to the wrong person.
but after BBBs action, it looks like the business got the warning and their website says that they just sent the checks. I will wait for them. If I do not receive them on time, I will file another complaint. Thank you

We have paid ********************* and he has done business with our company on other projects that he has gotten paid on. The proof of all of the checks mailed is attached. We have paid the remaining three projects that Dr. ** has raised, the check is on the way.

I did a study four months ago and I'm still waiting to get paid. Other people have posted they waited over six months to get paid. Hello,
We are showing on our side that a check was sent to this respondent earlier this week. All payments are up to date. The individual must login to the dashboard at www.virtueresearch.com and will see the payment. Checks are mailed via **** and will arrive at the same speed it typically does for their neighborhood.

I provided intelligence to Virtue Research as part of a program they have where they pay you depending on the research. On January 18th, I conducted that interview for them and am due $125. I have contacted them repeatedly but they refuse to respond and PAY me.Business response

Hello,
We acknowledge that **************** participated in an interview on January 18, ****. She accepted our standard Terms and Conditions prior to her participation. These Terms and Conditions clearly state that Virtue Research strives to make payment within "***** weeks from survey completion and interview date". In fact, we work hard to pay our respondents even more quickly. Our FAQ page indicates that "We mail out compensation payments to the address we have on your profile page. After completion, a check is mailed to you within **** weeks after the study closes. You will be able to view the payment status on your dashboard."
She competed her interview on January 18, ****, she filed her complaint with the BBB on the February 14, ****, 5 weeks after completing her interview. Virtue Research has never suggested that she would receive payment within 5 weeks.
We understand she may desperately need the funds, but before our system is able to generate and mail a check, we must first ensure the data quality is good, and that it isn't fraudulent. Unfortunately, these types of checks do not happen instantaneously, as involves numerous people involved in a manual process that takes time.
Her check will be issued this week, and her dashboard will be updated to reflect the payment owed to her.

I completed a study a couple of months ago with Virtue Research. I am owed $120.00. I have emailed the company about my processing payment a couple of times as well, but I did not get a response back. I would like this payment please. Hello, this respondent has been sent a check that should have already arrived. Our website says payment can take up to 12 weeks from the time of completion. Please see proof of mailed check and check numbers. Later this week if she cashes the check, we will be able to provide proof of deposit.Customer response

Hello, The checks requested were mailed in the time frame as outlined by our FAQs. It is attached a view of the dashboard. The respondent may view the dashboard at www.virtueresearch.com. The check numbers are there and the date the checks were mailed (almost 2 weeks ago). We do see that the checks were not cashed, so the individual must look for the two letter envelopes and contact us to confirm if the correct address was provided.

virtue research owes me over $385.00 for surveys that i have done for them.medical companies and regular product companies hire virtue research , they get paid to have people like me along with many others , to do online zoom meetings for an hour or 2 to get my input along with others in the zoom chat as well on what we thing about certain products, my last one that i did was for over $325.00 for a flu mist medicine company on december 19th 2023, on their web page under my account it says completed, a month ago TODAY!!!! AND STILL NO CHECK IN MY MAILBOX!!!! also on december 2, 2023 i did a ZOOM meeting about Chrones disease and ulcerative colitis , it says completed, and CHECK PAID!!!! it DOESNT take 8 days to recieve a check coming from ******* ******* to my mailbox in ***********************************************************************************. i called , ive emailed, and i keep getting the run around. i have spoke with *********************, *************************, who is supposed to be the C/E/O of the company also ive spoke with *****************************, and ***************************** who is the DIRECTOR OF MARKET RESEARCH AT VIRTUE RESEARCH at phone number **************, theres also another number which is ************** ext#***, their business is supposedly at ***********************************************************************************************. the last time i called i talked to ***************************** when she answered the phone at the ************** number, and her explanation to me was as you can see on your account we mailed a check, 2 checks, one for $50 and one for $10 on the 11th, and to give it 3 more days if it doesnt reach me to call back and they will gladly mail me 2 more checks, so then i said where the rest of my money, you owe me $300 plus $20 for the flu mist ZOOM online meeting survey that i did with the company that ALREADY PAID YOU, and she said, we will be mailing that shortly when it closes, i said it closed on DECEMBER 12TH, so why havent you mailed me the check for those yet either!!! I'm a physician in *******. I've received several e-mails from Virtue Research asking for my medical expertize and inviting to participate in paid research. Following that I've spent significant amount of my time and completed 3 studies - on August 11 for promised $180, August 24 - $100, and October 5 -$50. I did receive e-mail study completion confirmations but the promised honorarium never came. I've submitted multiple email requests to the company and received automatic replies. Nobody has ever contacted me and it seems that this company simply ignoring the customers. After doing Internet research I discovered that this is a scam and the company constantly cheating the doctors. They get the requested data, doctors opinions and disappear after that.I ask BBB of ******* to report and close this fradulent enterprise.Respectfully *****************************, MDInitial Complaint

Thank you for your participation in Virtue Research's paid Market Research studies. As a general guideline, we strive to pay our members within four to six weeks after a study closes. However, in this particular case, it took nine weeks due to complexity pertaining to data validation by our client. Unfortunately, until our client confirms the data is valid and will pay us for the data, we cannot issue the check. We did issue your check on June 8, 2023 (proof of deposit is attached). We did communicate with you that the check was mailed via your dashboard on June 8, 2023, and on June 15, 2023 we confirmed via email that it was sent on June 8, 2023. We see that you filed your "complaint" on June 16, 2023.
