      Hired Chap's Professional Movers to load a moving truck on 9/20/22 in *******. Project details included "protective padding or blankets." They were hired to pack our items including large furniture, load securely into the moving truck, and install the bulkhead. Due to their negligence in loading and packing the truck, we have extensive damage to our bedroom, Livingroom, diningroom, and other various furniture items. It was discovered when the truck doors where opened during the unloading process on 10/4/22. Furniture was wrapped in thin plastic wrapping (in some cases, no more than one layer) and had been stacked in a way that caused significant wear and tear during the transport. Beds, nightstands, tv stands, our refrigerator, and every single dining room chair have all been scratched, dented, and ruined. The truck was not packed properly and items fell during transit (for example, they threw an unsecured box with a saw on top and it fell, damaging items as it made it's way to the bottom of the truck).They assured me they knew how to install the bulkhead to prevent the contents of the truck from moving during the drive, however, the truck driver could not even close the doors due to the poor and incorrect installation. They the hardware to our sleigh bed so we had to order it and that cost an additional $20, on top of the $600 spent to hire them and another $130 or so in tips that they were given prior to learning about the damage.****** was immediately notified and even corresponded that he was open to solutions to rectify this situation but then he no longer responded. I am including photos of damage, what was initially promised upon hiring (estimate and project details) and correspondence after the damage was discovered. I am requesting a full refund due to the cost of repairing and or replacing the furniture which will exceed what we paid them to help with our move.
