We parked in a ParkSimple text2park lot near **************** on April 6, 2024. We paid for the parking and received a receipt. When we returned to our car, within the allotted time frame, there was a $50 parking ticket on our car, stating that we had not paid. We tried calling several times and emailing the company to contest this ticket, but got no response. There seems to be no means of refuting the ticket. We did pay the ticket on the due date because we felt there was no other choice; however, we would appreciate some help in contesting the charge, which was not correct. We are happy to email a pic of the parking receipt, as well as the ticket. Please let us know the next steps.

We have reviewed the customer's complaint and have confirmed that the customer did pay for parking and should not have been ticketed.  Not sure why the customer could not connect with our Company by phone or email, but we always try to respond in a timely manner to all communications.  *********************** of our office has left a voice message for the customer to confirm her address and we will issue a refund of $53.85. We apologize for the inconvenience to the customer.

I spoke by phone to the person mentioned in the response, ***********************, on Tuesday May 7.  He asked for my address and said he would have a reimbursement check mailed to me by the end of the week.  To date, I have not received a reimbursement.  In order to speak with him, I had to leave a voicemail and send two different emails requesting that he contact me.  I will let you know if I do receive a reimbursement from Park Simple.  It is very difficult to get in contact with the company, and I am not convinced that they want to rectify this situation.  I do appreciate the help of BBB and your prompt attention to the matter.  We'll see what happens.

****** was refunded the disputed amount and the check was issued May 9, two days after she spoke with ***********************.  The check cleared our account on May 13th - see attached cancelled check.

I did receive the reimbursement check, and I am satisfied with the action of Park Simple.

Thanks so much for helping me to resolve this issue.  I really appreciate it.

I received a invoice from *********** regarding a parking out of compliance. I have tried to reach them multiple times to ask where "Y lot" is located. I work in *********, ** so I have no idea where this parking lot is located. They have a picture of the back corner of my Jeep but no identification or picture of area. People warned me this is scam, so I'm looking for help because they sent me a fine. I also submitted a dispute with no response and got another bill for $110.00 and threating to impound our vehicle. *********** - ********************************************************************** Notice:1000001696 Violation: no payment Date: 12/21/23 1:32pm ***********************************************

      Business response

      02/27/2024

The parking charge was for a parking lot on ************* in ******, ******** next to ************* and *****************.  There are cameras in the lot that capture vehicles that park and if payment is collected.  There is also a ********************* in the area that patrons use this lot to park in.  Brooklyn's does provide validations for their guests.

There is a third party that actually monitors the cameras and sends out notices for nonpayment.  ParkSimple manages the parking lot, but is not involved in that process.  We do have the ability to remote into the system to review any disputed charges.

It is unclear whether our office received a phone call or other communication from this customer, but our records show that we did void the charge for this customer on 2/15/24.

I went to a IEEE meeting 17 oct 23, (6:40pm until 9:30 pm ish, I was registered until 10:40 pm) registered with the web app then I got a bill for parking on the (17th at 9:15 pm) on the 26th oct. I called ****************** manage and confirmed they validated the parking.I emailed then called parksimple "***********************" and explained and gave proof of registration at Original Brookyns (*******************************************************), attached. original Brookyns has had a parking agreement that ****************** would pay for parking in the ****** *********** Y. ********* said on the phone he does not have any records of my receipt, or validation number, I emailed the proof and even with proof - ****** said I am going to pay.Now parksimple is sending me late notices and a letter that i will be turned over to collections with a $110 dollar bill.so far I emailed ****** police, and the governors office fraud office, and ************************************** - with the proof of receipt Got any other ideas??I have attempted to call parksimple management, today - 7 dec 23.And left more messages

      Business response

      12/14/2023

We have attached email communications between **************** and *********************** whereby we provided the information from our system regarding the parking fee.  **************** followed up with providing us his parking receipt, however, that receipt is from Offstreet, unrelated to ParkSimple and the times differ from that recorded at the * lot that we manage.  We don't know how *********************** can confirm they validated ****************** ticket at the time, so no proof has been provided to us.  We have put a hold on the collection fee of $110.00 pending payment of the $10.00 parking fee owed.  The notices are coming from a third party vendor and not directly from ParkSimple.  If **************** pays the parking fee of $10.00, then we can remove the $110.00 violation fee with the vendor and cancel the account going to collections.  One in collections, we have no power to release without full payment.  Please have **************** handle the matter so this case can be closed.  Thank you.

Parksimple booted my car just after midnight on September 18, 2021 when parking at the Hilans Retail complex on North Highland Avenue. We had just attended a concert and was looking to get something to eat in the complex. The attached signage at the area led me to believe that the parking was for customers, but unfortunately the requirement for paid parking was obstructed. At a $75 charge to remove the boot, this almost seems to be a scam based on the poor signage. I request that the $75 charge be refunded. This was highly disruptive to my evening in the city.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/22) */ There are several signs posted on the property regarding the parking regulations and are clearly visible. The booting company makes their rounds between midnight and 1:00AM and they are the ones that boot illegally parked vehicles and collect any fines. ParkSimple is the parking management company and does not receive payment from the booting company and cannot refund any booting fee.
