I was going to join exp realty as an agent. I sent them money and started the onboarding process. I was unable to join due to health and financial issues and would like my money back. They have not provided me with any service to be able to keep my money. I requested a refund within a 3 day time period of joining.

      Hello,

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this inquiry, as we take these matters very seriously at eXp Realty.

I was able to speak with ************** as well as our agent named in the complaint, *********************.

****** confirmed that his listing had already been canceled, which was his desired outcome based on his initial complaint.

It was canceled on the ************************ the same day the cancellation was signed.

If ****** does have any further concerns, he can absolutely reach out to me on the direct number I called him from.

Again, thank you for the chance to respond and to make this matter right with our consumer.

This company advertised they could help people with low credit scores find a home. I paid $599 for this service, on 2/29. Their customer service was very poor. They did not communicate with me and provide updates. I had to reach out to them several times and I ended up finding a home on my own..

eXp Realty appreciates the opportunity to respond to the complaint.  However, because the consumer did not provide a property address or any further information that would enable it to investigate the dispute further, it is unable to do so.  eXp Realty respectfully requests that the consumer provide further information so that it may properly investigate this issue.

I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the egregious neglect and unprofessionalism displayed by ***************************** and Exp Realty. She in particular keeps showingf a pattern of disrespect and I believe it's on the basis of age discrimination. On a sweltering Friday afternoon, my air conditioning unit broke down, leaving me without any cooling in the oppressive Florida heat and humidity. Despite immediately reaching out for assistance, I was met with complete silence. Three excruciating days passed before the issue was finally addressed on Monday. During this period, I was forced to endure the unbearable heat, which made my home feel like a suffocating oven. The conditions were not only uncomfortable but also posed serious health risks. To add insult to injury, the realtor responsible for my unit didn't even have the decency to reply to my urgent messages. Living in *******, functioning A/C is not a luxuryit's a necessity. The blatant disregard for a tenant's wellbeing and comfort is unacceptable. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise anyone considering renting through *********************** and expo realty to think twice. No one deserves to be treated with such indifference and disrespect.

Thank you for allowing us to address this complaint. While we sympathize with **************** regarding the air conditioner malfunction in his rental property, please understand that eXp Realty does not manage or provide property management services for rental properties. Therefore, we regret to inform you that we are unable to provide a response in this matter, as repairs are the sole responsibility of a property owner or property management company.

i received a call from an agent i never contacted. started peessuring me into buying a home. it was strange and i dont think this is legit. after reading the way the business responded to the complaints. i really believe im doimg the ****** thing. not once did i see them take ownership of any mistakes or issues. instead i read them trying tk shift the blame to the customer being in the wrong. that is a major red flag. *** worked in customer service for over 20 years. one thing i know is the customer needs to feel respected and transparency goes a lomg way. i didnt see that here. what i see is the complaints havevsome validity. when a person gets angry when accused or tries tk shift blame that's a sure indicator that the company is guilty of these accusations. because when a defensive stance is taken then most likely they are shady. ever heard the term thou doth hath protest much? all their responses made them look worse and guilty. what can you expect if all the company cares about is taking as much money as they can from anyone they coukd instead of building a good wholesome honorable company. theres a way to deal with difficult situations and your responses is not the way. even if the customer is being unreasonable. you can reach a solution that is satisfactory for all parties involved. you are a big company they are not. the loss for them is greater. if you take the high road you never know they might have a change of heart.. if not at the very least your reputation will grow and strengthen which means more customers because word of mouth can make or break a company

Thank you for giving eXp Realty the opportunity to review this complaint, as we take these matters very seriously.

The complaint did not include the name of the real estate licensee who made the initial call, and in looking through our electronic communication log, I don't see any correspondence from ***************************** directed at the eXp Realty Managing Broker Team.

Because we do take these matters so seriously, we would invite ***** to send us an email at ************************************* with the specifics of her complaint so we could discuss with her and counsel any real estate licensee appropriately.

*************************, an EXP Realty agent, both committed several acts of negligence in her representation of me in the purchase of a home in October of 2023, and has also been ignoring our multiple attempts to settle said matter via sending certified demand letters from my attorney, emails, and texts, going on 5 months now. Furthermore, she is intimidating and harassing my daughter who has been helping me through this entire process. I hired ************************* to help me find a home as I am a senior with several health issues relocating from ********** to ***** to live closer to my daughter. She pushed me through a 3 day option period despite it not being necessary (no other offers on house that was listed over 6 months), recommended her home inspector to me, and failed to deliver the 2 attachments required in the Seller's Disclosure that ended up being significant mold issues with the house - all of which she did not share with me prior to closing despite it being required. We learned after close and getting those documents from the listing agent that the house is infested with mold, and our own post-close mold inspection confirmed this. My damages amounted to over $200,000. We sent demand letters to the sellers, listing agent, and ************************* (an EXP Realty Agent) and heard from the seller's and listing agent's attorneys right away who worked amicably with us to a resolution that partially restored my damages, but not fully.Meanwhile, ***** and EXP Realty ignored our demand letters and communication attempts for months - still as of the writing of this complaint they have not reached out about this huge negligence on their agent's behalf. Apparently EXP thinks they can make transaction mistakes costing buyers hundreds of thousands and just ignore it. We will pursue additional legal action on our end, but caution anyone from working with a company that has so much blatant disregard when they make mistakes and will not help you in the least.

This complaint involves an ongoing civil dispute.  eXp denies each and every allegation made in this correspondence.  ***'s counsel has reached out to ****************** counsel to ask her to stop contacting eXp and the agent, yet she continues to do so.  To reiterate what counsel has already advised, *** demands that ************** immediately cease and desist from all contact with eXp and it's agent on all forums; all contact should be through the party's respective attorneys.

I am rejecting this response because this company has chosen to ignore all attempts from our lawyers to handle this until I filed a complaint. Secondly, I have NEVER contacted them or their realtor *************************. My lawyers do however  have receipts including the signature required for the certified mail that was sent to them. Furthermore, filing a complaint with the BBB and TREC do not constitute harassment but rather legitimate means to report terrible service and treatment.
      Sincerely,

eXp appreciates the opportunity to respond to the rejection.  As set forth in its initial response, this is an ongoing civil matter.  While eXp rejects and denies the consumer's claims, eXp cannot respond to the consumer in detail as both eXp and the consumer have counsel.

I have never contacted eXp in any way. I do not have a house on the market and have no interest in selling. Suddenly this week I started receiving phone calls, emails, texts, and voicemails from eXp harassing me about selling my house, with a false/untrue story about my house status. I receive unwanted contact from dozens of different phone numbers many times everyday. I do not want this contact. Blocking each email and phone call doesn't help as new ones appear hours later. Please just Stop!! I do not want to be contacted ever, in any way.

eXp appreciates the opportunity provided by the BBB to respond to the Complainants concern. The complaint does not identify the names or telephone numbers of any purported agents that allegedly contacted Complainant. To eXps knowledge, no correspondence was made by any affiliated independent contractor. Further, to the extent Complainant received any telecommunications from an agent, or on behalf of an agent, eXp was not involved and in no way directed such activities. eXp is without any knowledge regarding the allegations within the complaint. However, eXp has added Complainants telephone number as provided in this complaint to its internal Do Not Call List. While we sympathize with Complainant, eXp has not provided with any information regarding the alleged correspondence, and therefore, denies it, or an agent affiliated with it, made any of the alleged communications.

My husband and I started receiving calls from real estate agents who are asking about our desire to sell our home - the one we sold 5 years ago and no longer own! Two of these agents told us that they received this info from eXp. This business model doesnt provide contact information in order to discuss this issue with anyone. I would NEVER do business this way - EVER. We dont know why our names are still linked to the house we sold, but in addition the house isnt even in MLS - Ive had my mortgage broker look it up and its not even for sale! So if the information was actually supplied to them by eXp, then eXp is distributing false information! We are registered on the national and state no call lists and being harassed with unwanted phone calls is unacceptable! . If this continues, well hire an attorney!

I am rejecting this response because I find it concerning that if the company doesnt provide phone numbers, why would putting us on a no call list have any impact?  ** also pleased that the calls have stopped since I submitted this complaint (isnt that curious?) Its a shame that they didnt stop before we received this text that was followed up by a phone call on CHRISTMAS DAY!!! Not only is this beyond unacceptable she had the unmitigated temerity to argue the virtue of her cold call on my holiday!!

      phone #************

Merry Christmas!!! This is ******** from ****************** powered by PLACE. I'm updating my list of available properties in the area. Is your home still available for sale? If yes, what is your asking price?

Here are a few more numbers from calls received on 12/22 but my had started receiving calls around the 20th.  He didnt mention it to me earlier because I have a serious medical condition and really dont need this stress!

      ************ called 12/22 at 7:48 am

There are MANY others and while the calls have miraculously stopped, Im concerned about identify theft and why all of a sudden were getting calls on a house we sold 5 years ago and isnt on the market or listed in MLS!

One more thing, all of our numbers are registered with the ***** and National No Call databases! We should not be receiving unsolicited sales calls!!

      Sincerely,

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint.  As set forth in its original response, eXp has placed Complainant's number on its internal Do Not Call List.  eXp did not contact Complainant.  The phone numbers listed within the Complaint are not owned, operated, or controlled by eXp.   The Complainant appears to state the alleged telephone calls have stopped.  eXp Realty sympathizes with Complainant, but eXp did not make any alleged calls as detailed in either Complaint.

EXP Realtys representative **************************** (License No. ME #********* has recently created a website under the EXP Realty corporate logo. The website seems primarily designed to disparage my business reputation and harm my property development prospects, by gradually releasing one-sided, incomplete and inaccurate accounts of portions of our past business relationship. These are grouped under headings alluding to various aspects of our past dealings or discussions, but some sections remain incomplete, possibly as an implied threat or extortion attempt. The website omits the fact that after *************** advised and assisted in my purchase of a property where I intend to build luxury condominium units, he received a $20,000 success fee from the seller and then complained that he did not receive an additional payment from me (as the buyer) as well, despite him being neither the listing or buyers broker, or having any other agreement or understanding with me about this. Although he started actively brokering this property prior to obtaining his real estate broker license, the transaction finally closed while he was a licensed EXP Realty broker. Therefore, i presume EXP Realty already knows well the details of this transaction and shared in the success fee, and endorses his various subsequent actions.Prior to discussing litigation solutions with my attorneys, I want to first give EXP Realty an opportunity to investigate this matter, take any corrective actions deemed appropriate, and communicate these to me.

We acknowledge and apologize for any inconvenience the client may have faced. We have carefully reviewed the communication history which shows our agent consistently communicated directly with the seller through email. We do apologize if this method did not align with the client's preferences. We understand the disappointment regarding the failed transaction; however, the listing was canceled as it was in the best interest of the client to find other representation.
