I bought my home through Habitat for Humanity in 2014. Began living in it July 2013. My monthly mortgage paid each month all these years every month year after year and month after month. Beginning August 1, 2023 the mortgage was taken over by ******************. This is a debt collection company and yesterday, August 14, 2023 I received a letter from the *************. saying that ******************************** is a debt collector. To the extent your original obligation has been discharged or is subject to an automatic stay of bankruptcy under Title 11 of the ** S. ***** this notice is for compliance and/or informational purpose only and/or is notice of the creditor's intent to enforce a lien against the property and does not constitute a demand for payment or an attempt to impose personal liability for such obligation. (My question is why was my mortgage sent to a collection company when I was not ever a late payer or never missed a payment?)Initial Complaint

When moving into my home i complained every year about my A/c not working properly- Year over year i complained- I informed habitat of this issue and nothing came to resolve- My house was muggy all the time with the a/c on- but it never fully cooled over the entire home. After 5 years the compressor on a what i was told was a brand new unit failed- I ended up switching both inside and outdoor unit. Had habitat taken my complain more serious- I would not be on the hook paying for a new a/c unit within 5 years of being in my home. I was told to reach out to the ceo but I cannot find his email- The moto is to create affordable homes for family but 9k isnt money just laying around.
