I purchased a car on 8/9/23 for my daughter. I paid for the car, tag, title and taxes directly to the owner of Blessed Buy Auto. He gave us a buyers order, emissions test results and a temporary tag. As of today 1/17/24 the car has not been registered. I reached out the owner multiple times over the past 5 months and he would give excuse after excuse then stop responding for weeks at a time. I went to the tag office on 01/02/24 for an extension on the temporary tag because he wouldnt respond to issue another one. I was told that the temporary tag and the previous 2 had never been registered with the state so they could not extend it. I explained the situation to the clerk and was advised that a title was just filed in his business name on 12/27/23. They said another option was to do a title bond. I reached out to the owner several more times and he insisted that he had the title and would refund me the $500 I paid for the tax, title and tag, but couldnt meet me at his shop or anywhere else for various reasons then stopped responding again. I have received every excuse available from person doing paperwork had a medical emergency with their family, his bank account was hacked, and his father passed away. While I have been very understanding and sympathetic its been over 5 months and this is business so I did the title bond but now theres an issue with how the odometer was entered when the title was applied for. The dealer has to fill out the form and get it notarized. $2300 was the cars selling price $518 was tag, title, taxes he said give him $2800 total. I gave him $2500 cash and $300 on cash app. Id like to be refunded $700. I also want the form completed, the title (if he has it) and the $700 breaks down as follows $500 for tag, title and taxes I paid since he didnt complete that part and an additional $190 for the title bond and the $10 is notary fees. We cant drive the car until this is resolved and the car is registered.
