I purchased a wedding gown from ** Raine's in June of 2022 for our original wedding last fall. My Dad's health then began declining last July and I called La Raines then to tell them we were postponing our wedding. I asked if I should come in to pick up my dress once it arrived and they said they could keep it there and to call them back once I had a new date. I called them back at the end of March this year and couldn't get in touch with anyone, all of my calls went to VM. I finally spoke to a consultant who told me they could rush order my dress. I said, "No my dress should already be there." She apologized and said she didn't have my info pulled up but that she would look and call me back. I never heard back from her so I continued to call several more times. I finally received a call from one of the owners, ***********************, who told me my dress had been ordered and it was at their warehouse in *******. He said he would have someone call and schedule an appointment for me to come in to see it. I never heard from anyone so I decided to drive to the store. I came to find out via their website that they filed for bankruptcy at the end of April. I then by ********** ran into the other owner, *************************, in the store parking lot. She told me my dress had been ordered but that it was at the designer's warehouse in ***********! She told me I would need to repurchase the dress from another boutique. I felt sorry for her until I called the designer who confirmed my dress had been ordered but La Raine's never paid them for it! So they essentially stole $4,000 from me without paying the designer for my dress which is considered felony theft by deception. They completely ruined my experience and caused me SO MUCH stress. They did the same to other brides some of whom paid cash for their dress which they don't have and they have weddings coming up this summer. Luckily my credit card company, *********** credited me back the total amount I paid La Raine's last June.
