I contracted with Chad Fagan on ******* *, 2024. I paid him $3000 deposit with an additional $3100 due on completion of job. Every task that he took on he did incorrectly and not within the scope of the contract. The contract called for R19 insulation. He used a lower grade and installed it with no moisture barrier. He took 4 of our wall boards that I was installing and cut them incorrectly and installed them over the insulation to hide his mistake. He attempted to repair a window from the outside and left nails through to the inside poking out of the frame. He was hired to replace 2 4x8 sections of the ceiling that was water damaged and put up new drywall and mud and sand and paint to match the rest of the ceiling. When complete, the patches are clearly definable and have rough spots and gauges. When painting the ceiling he got paint all over the top edge of the already installed wall board that had already been painted. He had to be told to correct gutter and downspouts on 3 occasions and still they are not correct. He has been unreliable when saying when he will come and how long he will work. Today, he has refused to answer calls after guaranteeing that he would be here no later than 11am. It is now 1:34 and he will not return numerous calls and texts. One of the downspouts is not connected at all. Two of the front downspouts are still installed incorrectly. No caulking has been done of the gutter seams. We were under the impression that he was licensed and bonded but have now found out he is neither. We would like our money back so that we may hire another contractor to correct what he has done to our home.
