    My fiancé and I was traveling for leisure and work. We stayed at the Econolodge starting ******** ** **** and received a warm check in by one of the front desk workers there. However, our second night began the **** storm with the manager Pattie. There was an incident on the first floor and she gave the police my information (I was located on the *** *****) when I questioned her, she said they were black so I thought you were with them. The police contacted me and I was very overwhelmed because I have never been in trouble with the law and for her to assume because I’m black that I was associated with other people of color that were causing confusion at the hotel really made me upset. She continued to harass me up until today, ******** ***** We were all asleep in the room and she said that we had to leave because of noise complaints. When I asked her to clarify because there was no one on our floor she said the owner told her to ask me to leave. When I asked for the owner’s information and if I could talk to him or her, she chuckled and said “No, but I can call the police.” I am a very educated woman and have studied ****** *********** ******* *********** so I know how to operate and manage a hotel. She was very rude, inappropriate, and racist. There were Caucasian people there who were very loud, banging on walls, and she treated them with the utmost respect. She made our stay there **** and to experience such racism is unbelievable. I am requesting my money back from my entire stay and her job be taken away from her to prevent her from treating other African American people the way she treated me. She didn’t even apologize for giving the police my number and racially profiling me. Outside of her and her blatant racism, the other staff members were pleasant. She is giving the hotel a bad reputation. I have a video of her giving me her name and refusing me the owner’s contact information.

    When I called to make my reservation, I was told one price and it was another. However, it was a small amount. They should be more upfront about that. I had an issue with the cable TV not having all the channels available, the hot water wasn't working to capacity. The heat worked great where I felt very comfortable. However, the maintenance guy, John was very efficient and courteous with having my room changed at no extra charge. The new room was clean and housekeeping was very nice and accommodating with the towels.
