This hotel is trying to charge me a smoking fee when the room smell nothing like smoke in there were no indications that someone smoked in the room either.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2021/12/10) */ On Sunday, ******** *** 2021 the Executive Housekeeper checked to see if the room was vacant and upon entering there was a strong ********* odor. Both the Guest Room Attendant and Executive Housekeeper smelled the odor from outside the room (with the door closed) and inside the room. While inside the room they both found evidence that someone was in the room smoking. when the guest called back in regards to the $250 smoking fee I explained to her why she was charged and what was found in the room. She stated that she was there with her kids and no one smoked in the room. The property only charges guest for smoking if there is physical evidence that someone smoked in the room. We do not charge for smoking odor. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2021/12/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Again where is the proof? That is such bull! There was a blunt wrapper in my trash can, so housekeepers go through the trash? Absolutely positively no one smoked in that room or that hotel! I want proof because again this is all a lie. There was no ********* Oder in or around that room. They said they smelled it, if you don't charge for a smell where is the proof? I'm going to just sit in a hotel room with three minor children and smoke in their face? This hotel is horrible! If this can't get resolved I will take legal action.
