On ******** I paid the amount of $2800 to Cheese boroughs Automatic Transmission Inc. for rebuilding my transmission . A month later my car started jerking and the gears wouldn't switch correctly or it would change gears really hard . I've made multiple attempts to take my car back to the shop and every time the owner states there is nothing wrong with it. I've since then had several mechanics take a look at it and they all stated the transmission was not built correctly. The clutches and bands are slipping forward and reverse with a hard shift . The car is financed therefore I had to take out another loan to repair the transmission but I am not satisfied . Recently , I've taken the car one last time and the owner stated "Y'all are some chronic complainers . I won't look at the car unless it breaks down because there's nothing wrong with it." I expressed my concerns and he scanned the car but not once did he say he would go back over his work to make sure he didn't miss anything . He just simply stated even if I leave it overnight he still won't attempt to fix a problem that's not there . I would simply like my money back . I want to pay off my loan and get a car that has a working transmission.It's not fair that I spent $2800 as a customer and the owner still won't try to assist with the issues I'm having .Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/04/12) */ When the customer had her car towed into our shop it would not move in forward or reverse. It sat in our parking lot for over two months before she decided to have it repaired. We did not charge her any storage during this time. She was advised that her car was in really bad shape all around and car was probably not even worth the cost of repair.She wanted to move forward. Her transmission is working fine. The vehicle is AWD and her driveshaft and transfer case are causing car to jerk etc.Suspension problems are causing car to pull hard to the right upon acceleration to the left when slowing down. The last time she came into shop with her brother she had relative on speaker phone yelling profanities and demanding we give her money back. Customer has many issues with her car but the transmission is not one of them. The only time we refused to drive car is when brother brought it in with his pit bull in car and it lunged and nipped at me when I approached window so I told him he would have to take dog out of car before anyone could drive with them. He then just left.The last time they came in, Mr. Cheesborough drove it with customer and her brother in car and it worked fine. Then,each of them separately drove the car with him in it trying to get it to act up but it would not. They would put car in reverse and say"can you hear this noise"? The only slight clunk was in the AWD part of car which we dont work on. She stated she took car to another shop and they said trans. was not right. When asked what the "mechanic" said was wrong with her car pertaining to the transmission she was unable to give us an answer. That is when she made phone call to whomever started yelling profanities.
