      I have 7 cameras that I pay for every month. Spartan Camera has received payment on 6 of the cameras and refuses to turn these cameras back on because my bank sent a dispute about camera number 7. So they are stealing my money because they arent providing me services but taking my money.

      Purchased a camera from a dealer last year. Just now got it out of box and it was packaged wrong from mfg, Spartan Camera. This camera was suppose to work with ******** the packaging says ******** however the camera itself only works with a cell.com or some other cellular network. The camera has never been used nor activated as I just unpackaged and found this defect. Called Spartan camera and they refuse to switch it out for the right camera even though it was their technical error/defect. They said I waited too long. For the price paid for this camera and now I have to eat the cost because Spartan packaged it wrong it not right. I hope someone reading this will take note and never buy from this company. I had heard horror stories about their support but now I'm having to witness it first hand so please do not make the same mistake as I did and buy their products EVER!

      Hello, 

      Our records show the camera was purchased over a year ago. This is why we cannot switch it out for a different provider. Please see attached photo of the invoice of when the camera in question was purchased in 2020. This claim is 100% false and not what happened. If the camera met our terms and conditions it would of been swapped out no issues.

      it shouldnt matter if it was purchased a year ago or not. The fact is the product was boxed incorrectly from *******. therefore it should be ******* responsibility to take care of their mistake. This mfg does not care to do so. And from the horrible grade you have on BBB and the numerous other complaints I see that I am not the only one with issues.

The camera is no longer under warranty of the purchase date and you are not a certified Spartan Dealer. We apologize for the inconvenience.       I am rejecting this response because:

      When we initially purchased this product it was at a trade show.  We purchased several cameras from them at multiple time periods, not just this particular time for resell at our store.  At no time did we receive any communication that we were not a dealer. Typically when a business purchases something at a wholesale price from a mfg that makes them a dealer of that product.  That has been my experience for the last 20+ years. This camera was sold to a consumer less than a year ago.  The Spartan warranty states it becomes active upon purchase by the consumer.  So the warranty should still be available to this consumer who returned it to us, saying the camera was not as boxed.  On the invoice provided it clearly says the camera works with ******** however the camera that was packaged in this box it NOT compatible with Verizon.  When the consumer initially called support he was told that the camera was not ******** it was a cell.com I believe.  And that the consumer needed to take it back to the dealer and trade it out.  Which he did.  Now we are stuck with a camera that was clearly mislabeled and Spartan refuses to rectify their packaging mistake.

      Sent product in to be repaired, Spartan sent back without repairing even though the issue was clearly stated w phone calls and emails which took two months to get them to issue a rma # .takes them 9 days to reply to almost any message Charged my cc twice for data plan. Partial refund on 1st charge. camera still not working no refund yet not to mention shipping charges

      Hello, 

      The customer has filed a dispute on the data plan so there is nothing Spartan can refund until the dispute is canceled. We cannot refund something that is under dispute. Also, the customers camera is out of the 2 year warranty. Please take a look at these links with our terms and conditions. Every camera is under 2 years warranty and will be replaced in this timeframe. Since the camera is out of warranty there is nothing we can do for the customer. Please see attached photos of where the customer was told this. Unfortunately we have to follow protocol when a camera is out of the 2 year warranty.

      I am rejecting this response because:Spartan charged me for a data plan ,after they repaired the camera.  problem is the camera was not operable after they did a faulty repair. I cant remember if it was under warranty or if I paid for it, regardless they worked on it and sent it back inoperable.  In order to check the camera to see if working correctly one has to purchase the plan, which I did.  So I bought their plan to use on a bad camera they sent me and not wanting to reimburse my cost, one reason for my complaint,Their customer service is the worst Ive ever had from any company.  Cant imagine them keeping customers.  AND IF Spartan is just now reply on a complaint filed in 2022, well that just shows you how committed they are to customer service again.Im asking ******************** to give them an F rating.

      Hello, 

      We are sorry about the delay in responding to your request. It was not submitted to us till recently. Any Spartan Camera has to have an active data plan to do troubleshooting. This is why the customer had to purchase a plan to try to get it working. We would refund the customer for the plan but he has filed a dispute with the bank so there is no way for us to refund something that has been disputed. The customers camera is out of warranty so there is nothing we can do about replacing it. Please take a look at our terms and conditions. If the customers camera was under warranty it would be replaced no issues. Since it isn't this request has been filed and there is nothing we can do about replacing it due to our terms and conditions and the camera being out of warranty.

      I purchased a 500+ dollar trail camera back in February and shelved it until opening the package just yesterday so that I could put it out at my hunting spot. I got online, bought the most expensive data plan Spartan cameras offers. Waited about twenty minutes to ensure that **** had activated the subscription. Then attempted for 3 hours to connect it to the **** network. It refuses to connect. I have tried everything I know to do and have tried everything that I have seen in their troubleshooting section of their website. I tried calling customer service 4 times and never received an answer or a call back. This will be my first course of action toward resolving this through a third party. I realized that there was one other thing I could try though. It was to cancel the subscription for that I had purchased for ****** from Spartan camera and try again using cheaper services. When I cancelled my subscription I was notified that I wouldnt be able to get a refund since it had been 24 hours since I purchased the subscription. However I had called them at least twice prior to the 24 hr *****

      Hello, 

      We do see where you tried to contact us in the refund period. Spartan tried to contact the customer back but never got a response. This is why a refund was never made for the customer. In the future we have to create a refund ticket to be processed in order for the refund to take place. Since the customer never talked with anyone in support after us calling him and emailing him there was no refund issued. Please see attached photo of where we called him and emailed with no response. This one September 9th 2020 and have not heard from him since.

      I purchased two Spartan Cameras on 4/19/2022 and a service plan for the cameras on 4/24/22 and it renewed on 7/24/2022. I have tried since having this camera's installed to get them to work the first week installed, they failed and when I contacted the Spartan they said I had outdated software on the product that I had just purchased and had to download new software. Their system would not update the software so I then had to download a link online which I did, and the product will not update because it say's my registration failed. I have tried on multiple occasions to get tech support which they claim to offer and can't get a response either by phone or email. All I get is a computer **** that tells me try this and try that all back to the same problem. I have spent a total of $1,472.86 on two cameras and a service that does not work and can't get support for them I am requesting a full refund for my purchase. I have wasted a lot of time and effort to get this product to work and have had no success. Charges to my credit card on 4/19 $1285.68 and $21.40 on 4/24 $35.99, 4/26 $14.63, 4/26 $64.17, 7/24 $50.99 on statements that I have uploaded. I look forward to your help in resolving this dispute.

      Hello, 

      We are sorry for the issues you are empiercing with your cameras. We have all the history here showing what you are describing and can see we replaced the cameras for you with out of date software. Spartan Camera has not been contacted by the user since September of 2022, a full year. We will contact the customer to see if we can offer any help to see what is going on with the cameras. The customer has not tried to contact us about any issues in over a year and all this is documented. In the attached photo you will see where he hasn't contacted us in some time and we sent him out new cameras to solve his issues and he had working cameras last time we spoke with him. This date is September 26th 2022.
