While looking for things to do on our vacation in Blue Ridge, we came across, what we believed, was a gem deal. I pre-bought miniature golf and gem mining online through their website and expected to rent some of their fishing tackle/bait when we finished the other activities. All three of my children were very excited when I explained what we were doing with the afternoon. Clearly following their limited hours daily of 11:00 to 3:00, that is posted online (site and Google), we arrived just before noon on a Thursday. There was nobody at the business and, upon calling, The phone message indicated no contrary to reason of closure. No signage indicating reason of closure. Another family was also there seemingly in the same situation. We hung around for a little while but left extremely disappointed. The message I left at the desk included my phone number and details of what happened. No return of phone call. My wife then placed a review on Google blasting the experience and there was a response from the 'owner' , giving us the same number and wishing us to call to hash out any refund. Another call was placed (Durning stated business hours) which was directly rerouted and put into another answering service. Again, my phone number and details were all left. It has been several days and I still have not heard back. Very disappointing to say the least...

I apologize for your negative experience, Benjamin. The Lilly Pad has been going through some management practices that are not on par with what I always prided myself when building the business. As of January 2024, the Lilly Pad will be back 'under old management' and an experience like yours shall not be allowed to happen. If you would like to give us another chance after January 2024, please ask for me by name (Geza) and I'll make sure that you will change your one star to a five-star opinion. An opinion that so many others entrusted us with in the past.
