Contracted this firm to handle various renovations to ****************************************************. signed a contract that referenced a detailed estimate and scope of work.. several items were not completed 1)insulation of ceiling in the basement 2) Landscaping of exterior-details in the estimate 3) Handrail on basement stairway 4) Removal of all debris in basement 5) New roof including flashing around chimney. Roof has leaked around the fireplace(which was the same place it had leaked before the renovation and ETL had full knowledge). ETL finally came to look at the leak after I had called and emailed over a dozen times with pictures and videos over 4 months of no response to my communications. They said it was fixed but that if it leaked again they would have to charge me to repoint the brick on the fireplace since that was the origin of the leak. It began leaking immediately after they left as well as additional leaks in an adjacent valley. I sent emails, phone calls and tried to get them to respond but nothing worked. I sent additional emails and phone calls informing them that I had set up a 3rd party who was a professional roofer in town, Bone Dry roofing, to inspect the roof and determine the proper course of action. I gave ETL the date and time and ask him to confirm with me that they would attend but received no response. I followed through with the appt and Bone Dry showed me the improper flashing and the work failure that was creating the leaks. I let ETL know and asked them to either make the repairs or pay a qualified person to correct the issue but received no response. Same for the leak in the valley, ETL had nails and nail holes in the valley which was creating the leaks. I sent the invoices and request to be reimbursed for the repairs but have not heard from anyone. The roof replacement and renovations were completed by ETL in June of 2020 and the leaks began in January 2021. The other items listed need to be repaid to me.
