    On 5/2/2022 I contacted Optum Behavioral Health about credentialing under the ***** network to provide/bill services for our veteran patients. This process I was told could take up to 90days. On 9/8/2022 I received my welcome packet that we had been approved for their network and this approval had been backdated to 9/1/2022. Further information stated I needed to register with the ***** portal and provided a website, which was incorrect. I inquired and got a correct website and have attempted multiple times to register only to be told my tax id number could not be verified. Further communications I'm being told that I can not register until we have been loaded into their system. There has been no resolution considering the welcome packet came prematurely almost 3 weeks ago before we've been completely loaded. So I am unable to do any billing, verify benefits, request prior authorizations.

    My autistic daughter was approved for ABA services with ******* ************* for 40 hours a week. In preparation, we unenrolled her from the daycare that she was attending. So she goes on to attend this autism center at the beginning of this week and attends all the way up to today, Friday. The care team manager at the autism center tells me that she had just been informed on this day, Friday, that my daughter has been denied because ******* ************* was out of network. Optum says that there changes made on December 2022 but we didnt start the process of daughter getting services from this autism center till January, after these so-called changes were made. Whats the Optum reps ********* Oh she was approved by mistake. And how long did Optum know that she was not approved? Since the first day my daughter started. And here we are on Friday, just finding out. They made sure to overnight us a denial letter, so thats what I just find on my doorstep on this fine Friday. Theres no where we can find childcare this soon. Me and my wife have to work in order to pay for this trash insurance. We talked to Optum claims and aba approval **** and they were all completely useless. We cant get a manager on the line because they are all in a meeting. No one with the power to do anything will be able to get in touch with us till Monday. So yeah, I got to miss work till we can find somewhere for our daughter to go. Unethical, dishonest, and seriously lacking empathy. Oh and I asked the rep if she had any kids. She responded yes I do and her child is on the spectrum. I ask her, What would you do in this situation? Dont you think this is completely heartless? no response. She couldnt answer my question. Your silence speaks volumes ********.
