      Today's date is 6/4/2022. This seems to be a a company that provides lab work for other dermatologists but their billing practices are shady at best. I received work from other providers between the dates of January 13, Feb 14, and March 15 of 2022. I paid for these bills in full as they showed me the totality of the bills in the amount of 484.61, 200, and ****** respectively. I was not informed that any additional charges would occur. I recently received a **** from these folks in the amount of $170. I called multiple times attempting to question the validity of the **** only to get hung up on. I eventually left a voicemail a few weeks back expecting for them to call me back. They never did. As of today I have received a notification that this **** was sent to collections. I am now expected to figure out not only the merit of this **** but also handle the collections agency. In short, I was not informed of this ****. I attempted communication multiple times to get clarity and dispute the ****. And now there is a threat on my credit for this ****. I cannot begin to fathom why the billing department of this organization would act in such a malicious manner. I have checked the reviews for this company now and have found that I do not seem to be alone in this situation.

      I received a notice in the mail from a collections agency that I owed this company approx $75. I had never heard of or gone to this doctor before in my life nor have I scheduled a previous appointment with them. I sent in a dispute back to the collections agency and received another letter in the mail saying that they determined that I still owe the money without any explanation. I have never once been billed by Finan before or I would have called them to dispute right away. Now that it has gone to collections I have no choice but to get an additional party on my side to help me with my case. I have no prior contact with Finan or knowledge of the company's existence until now and would like this charge wiped from my records.

Marisa Parks, the billing coordinator for Finan ********* Dermatopathology reached out to Mr. ***** ********** on Monday, September 20, 2021, and explained the services that were rendered, the charges and Finan *********'s billing process. Mr. ********** acknowledged the service that was rendered and the billing charges and paid the account in full. Marisa has notified the collections company of the payment and has mailed the patient a copy of the statement as proof of payment. Mr. ********** apologized for the confusion and stated that he will contact the BBB to have the complaint removed. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2021/09/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) This was resolved and the business was very respectful. They in fact were a third party in the matter which I was unaware of and they had been given the wrong billing address by the doctor that I did in fact visit. I paid the amount owed in full and am grateful for receiving a thorough explanation of what had happened and the bill removed from collections. Also thank you BBB for helping to resolve this matter
