      Hello, We purchased a Moxley home on August of ***** Prior to our closing we noticed standing water in the yard when we would go to check on things. We were told that this was due to the sprinkler system being ran all day. This was a lie. They then added dirt, I guess. A month after we moved into the home while sitting outside we noticed water gurgling from the ground. After doing a little investigating we noticed there were holes in the yard near the septic tank pipes. After reaching out to ******* ******* multiple times, and the septic company coming out to our home and pack the holes with dirt. Needless to say the issue has not yet been resolved and it is now January of ****. We now have standing water in the drainage dips of the front yard and it rained days ago. The neighboring yards have no water which is odd. Although there are other issues such as the walls not being level and glue coming up from the laminate. It’s a gorgeous home, but I worry if we should sell it before it completely falls apart.

      The homeowner had an issue with yard drainage around her septic drain field after excessive rainfall and irrigation. Our septic vendor has since expanded the drain field area and added additional drains to carry storm water away from the septic system. In addition we met with the homeowner and deepened the drainage ditches on their lot and the surrounding lots to help direct ground water away from their lot. We believe this will solve the homeowners issue.

      I purchased a home from Moxley Homes one year ago in June of 2022. I have had tile issues in my master bath since shortly after closing related to a slab crack and this issue has been repaired twice by the flooring subcontractor. I also had a serious drainage issue in my backyard shortly after closing and Moxley Homes worked with the landscape subcontractor to install drains to redirect the water away from the back of my home. My current issue in need of repair is water intrusion into my garage through the expansion cracks and a crack in the side of the garage foundation that meets exterior garage wall. Whenever there is a substantial rain, water seeps through these areas and it is getting progressively worse. I am beginning to get standing water in my garage after heavy rains.

      We have no record of a repair request being submitted to us from the homeowner regarding this issue. All repair requests must be submitted to the email address provided to the homeowner at closing.

      I purchased a brand new house from them (Moxley Homes) on August 11, 2022. During the walk-through prior to closing, several issues were noted and were supposed to be fixed prior to closing. One of these issues included large gaps between the doors and frames. We were assured by *** Moxley that these be fixed when the weather stripping was installed. The weather stripping did not fix the gaps in the doors. I have notified them multiple times about the issue and they refuse to send someone to fix it. I was told that it was not a priority. Meanwhile, I have large gaps which causes the house to be energy inefficient and allows numerous insects to get in the house, which we find on a daily basis. Also during the walk-through inspection, we noticed that there was no shower door installed. After talking to the builder, he ensured us that he would install a shower door if we purchased one. So, we purchased a shower door at Lowes and brought it to the house the following day. I told him that the door was here and ready to be installed. After numerous phone calls and emails, they refuse to install the shower door, claiming that they cant find anyone to do it. I then asked if they would reimburse me if I found someone to install it. They replied with, "you can send the bill to ***". They have since blocked me and will not return my phone calls despite leaving numerous messages. This is by far the worst house buying experience I have had in 17 years and the worst builder I have ever had to deal with.
