Fees added and title transfer when car was already registered to me. 2018 honda was already in my name and charged fees when I decided I didn't want to trade it in less than 24 hours of arrangements made, now I have to buy it back with the car fees added on top of dealer fees. They have the new car and I still have my old car.

Dear ***** ***** and The BBB,

*** *****, you called us shortly after your daughter purchased a new Forte and said you wanted to trade your Honda for one. We made that happen and at some point during those couple days I came out congratulated and thanked you as you seemed very happy! It is my understanding that after buying now two fortes you decided you wanted your Honda back. Our policy is that all sales are final(NO COOLING OFF PERIOD) which is stated on the contract or contracts that you have attached to this complaint. Selling the Honda back to you was the only way we could get you back into the Honda. We sold the Honda back to you for the exact same amount that we gave you for it(no markup on the selling price). Although the state or your local tag office might show that Honda still in your name there is a delay or in other words it takes time to process in the system. End result once ample time is given to process is that the Honda will go from your name to ours and back to yours. This is the law, actually and is designed to protect us both. Fees are collected on every transaction. These fees cover the costs associated with registering and titling all vehicles involved in every transaction along with the personnel expense(time) associated with doing so. I am happy to discuss this matter with you via phone at your earliest convenience as I have already left you a voicemail.

      Sincerely,

I didn't want or need the warranty to cover the engine/ turbo on the Honda. I'm also trying to figure out why the amount financed was 28,793.43???
Especially when I first purchased the Honda in 2020 from nalley I only had to be financed for 23,741.41
Something doesn't seem right. Can this be explained please. If I'm buying it back for the purchase price which is $15,821.75 then after added fees equals 28,793.45 that you had me financed for then of course add the finance fee amount of 5,106.57 the total becomes 33,900.00. I'm trying to still figure out how I had to be financed for the 28,793.43?
How did the numbers get so high so see** like with all the fees it was almost 13,000 added to the price of the Honda. So did I buy my honda back with part of the kia added to it, and if so that's definitely not what talked about before the contract was signed. I know kia also could have figured out something to benefit us both, but instead see** it didn't help me any, it just made my issue worse! I just wanted my honda back sense I wasn't satisfied with the kia after leaving the lot, and I called very next morning and was asked when I could come back to the dealership and figure something out, I was told that I could either wait until Monday to speak with you *** **** sense already gone for the weekend because it was 330pm Friday once I arrived at the lot, or they would just have to eat the kia and I buy my old honda back for what yall gave me for it. So yes I'm very confused on what happened sense I was didn't realize that after I got done at your dealership that I would be paying for my old car back plus. I definitely knew if I had waited until Monday to speak with you, I would have been told the honda was gone or something in that order. I just wanted a fair worked out deal, and to get my honda back sense my honda definitely felt like I didn't receive the best deal either way! The car I bought my daughter there's no complaints, but it was obvious that I down graded from my honda to the kia for myself. My payoff that kia said was owed on my honda wasn't the payout amount either kia said it was 19,652.21 when it was less than 19,000 when I spoke with wells fargo and was told to call kia immediately Friday morning April 1st 2021. I definitely understand business is business, but there's also right from wrong. This entire deal was not to benefit me at all. I should have also checked the kia out more and not been rushed due to store closing hours. The kia definitely didn't have dark interior because the inside roof was very light colored which I didn't notice until after I left, maybe I should have been more direct on that I mean all interior dark including the headliner, and didn't understand why the radio needed to be up on 57 to hear it clearly while driving at highway speeds or why the back speakers seem to barely have sound to them after adjusting to see if they even worked at all. There was many reason as to why it wasn't a good car for me and I wasn't satisfied with the kia. I work with kia's and the value of the car definitely isn't 25,000+ suggested retail is alot less more like 19,000-21,000 see** as if all that matters was making money and not about the customer at all. Sorry but I will not return to this location in the future as I have found out that kia is definitely not for me, this was definitely not a good experience! Wish I would have just kept my honda in the 1st Place and paid it off in the next 4 years instead of now after dealing with kia i have 75 months of payments. What sounded good was the warranty yall offer, definitely should have looked more closely instead of being rushed and sold only on a warranty. Definitely explains why yall wanted to break a record of signing contracts in less than 8 minutes. Look where that landed me now ??

      re: ***** ***** id# ********

      To Whom It May Concern:

I am truly sorry for the confusion and disappointment concerning the ****** purchases.  I assure you Mike Murphy Kia strives for excellent customer satisfaction in each and every transaction.  Unfortunately it is impossible to please everyone all of the time regardless to our attempts to do so.

**. ***** ***** and *** ****** ** ***** purchased a new 2022 Kia Forte, snow white pearl exterior color with black interior model# ********* on March 28, 2022 and had no trade-in.  Then they purchased an identical new 2022 Kia Forte on March 31, 2022 with a trade-in of a 2018 Honda Accord with 93,960 miles.  The next day, April 01, 2022, they contacted the dealership stating they were
Unhappy with their purchase of the identical 2022 Kia Forte and wanted their trade in, 2018 Honda Accord, back.  However, they electronically signed the bank contract with Kia Motor Finance on March 31, 2022 and **** ****** Kia was funded the loan amount on April 01, 2022 at 10:47am.

**** ****** Kia strives to please each and every customer.  Therefore, we agreed to sell the 2018 Honda Accord back to them for the same dollar amount we allowed them for the vehicle as trade-in on the purchase of the identical 2022 Kia Forte.  Obviously, Georgia law requires the transfer of title and payment of taxes, etc. to be paid each and every time ownership changes.  The ****** therefore had to pay the tax, title, license fee, lemon law fee on the 2nd new vehicle, and documentary fee again.  Also, because the new 2022 Kia Forte was sold to the ****** the vehicle now has to be sold in the future as an used Kia Forte and instead of the future customer receiving 10 years, 100,00 mile factory limited warranty they will receive the balance of 5 years, 60,000 basic warranty.  In this case, even if we sold the identical 2022 Kia Forte that the ****** returned the same day to other customers; the new owners would suffer a loss of 5 years, 40,000 miles of the factory warranty.  This causes the value of the 2022 Kia Forte to decrease as does the title being used instead of new.  In addition the ****** purchased Total Loss Protection and a Service Contract on the 2018 Honda Accord at the time of purchase from **** ****** Kia.   All of these factors are included in the total price of the ****** $28,793.43 new loan through Truist Bank.

Again, I regret the ****** dissatisfaction with the 2nd identical 2022 Kia Forte they purchased within 3 days of purchasing the 1st 2022 Kia Forte.  I am pleased however that the ****** are pleased with the 1st new 2022 Kia Forte.  If there is anything we can assist them with in the future, we will be pleased to do so.

      Sincerely,

      **** ******
      Owner, **** ****** Kia
