I’m emailing to request assistance from the BBB with failing a complaint against Honest Abe Roofing SE Georgia and dispute their actions. On September 21, 2023, I hired Honest Abe Roofing SE Georgia **** ******** ****** ********* ******* ***** to replace my roof (attached) and I financed the cost of my project with ********** Finance Company (**********finance.com) ***** ****** ** *** ****, *********** ** ***** (855) ********. I am including my financial document to show on October 4, 2023, I have entered into agreement to begin payments in Jan 2024 (attached). Initially, Honest Abe Roofing attempted to finance my project with GoodLeap; however, due to undisclosed reasons for delay, they returned with an offer from ********** Finance which I accepted. My understanding from talking with a ********** Finance representative is that Honest Abe Roofing received full payment, yet on October 19, 2023, I receive by certified mail their Notice of Intent to Lien (attached) claiming I owe them $5,077.62. How is this the case if I have financed the entire cost of this project with my 15-year loan? I have attempted to reach Honest Abe Roofing only to learn that all their Georgia and Florida office were unexpectedly shut down and their staff laid-off shortly after my roof project was completed. I know that the Honest Abe Roofing franchise headquarters office in ***** *****, ******* 1-************ is open, and this is who provided my Certificate of Completion. This roofing company actions has threaten my family financial future. Please let me know what I can do to dispute and clear this intent to place a lien on my property.
