I brought my Yamaha Personal Watercraft to this company for repair. The repairs cost over $4,000. I had the PWC in the water for just a few hours when the same problem reoccurred. We brought it back to the dock and had a total of 5.5 hours of usage from the time they repaired it to the time I brought the machine back to them. They called and told me that they never guarantee their work and that the "new" damage is 1 inch away from the repairs that they made, so it is not associated. I am truly hoping that they do the right thing and I am open to a reasonable compromise. But I am shocked that they are not accepting responsibility and honoring their very expensive repairs. In the event that we cannot find a compromise, I will need to pursue this complaint and possibly seek mediation.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/04) */ Mr ****** brought this machine to us originally on January 16, 2021 with complaints of damage to hull. Offshore Powersports inspected the machine and determined that the machine had three seperate damages that needed to be rectified: 1. Damage to lower hull: $2,117.25 2. Water removal from engine: $927.75 3. Damage to front nose: $1071.56 Original Invoice: $4,116.56 All repairs were approved by the customer and work was completed on February 3, 2021. The customer picked up the machine on February 6, 2021, approved of completed repairs and paid the bill. Customer returned with machine on November 2, 2021 with new damages to lower hull in area of previous repair (Repair Number 1 listed above). The machine had been used for a combined 5.5 hours of runtime during the period since it was picked up 9 months prior. Claims were immediately made by customer that our repair failed, although the machine had been used for 5.5 hours of runtime with possibility of debris, neglect, or abuse being made during operation of machine. Offshore Powersports has investigated the damages and determined that damages are not concurrent with a failed repair. Damages appear to be from a pressure/impact related event. Offshore Powersports has assessed the machine and advised the customer that in its current condition, it is now non-repairable. Offshore Powersports has made offer to purchase the machine for salvage based on condition currently. Offshore Powersports has also offered to assist customer in Insurance Claim on machine due to damage occurring during use and most likely being a covered damage claim.
