I signed a contact with ************ on ********************. He requested half of his money at the time of starting. He stated that it would take about two weeks add in time if it rains. He came that Sunday morning and dug up the concrete driveway that I had in front of my garage, and left it there. It was over two weeks before he came back, and that was after several calls. He left the backhoe in my yard over the two weeks. Stated that it had broken down. He finally came by and loaded the old concrete; however, it took several days to do that. He claimed his dump truck was broken down. He brought some red clay and left it by my driveway for a few days. I had to call again before he came back. There was always an excuse. I gave him $4500.00 up front, and his excuse of not starting was that his machine was broken. He could have rented a machine. After weeks of complaining and calling, he finally paved my driveway, but he left a 14 feet area opened. The contract plan was to fill that open space with crushed asphalt millings; however, since the spot was only 14 feet, I agreed to pay him another $700 to put asphalt there. To this date*********, 2022, he has not returned to cover that 14ft gap. I called him two weeks ago to just put the crushed milling in that was on the contract. he stated that I wanted too much, and hung up the phone.
