I have a rental property at ************************************************. The tenants vacated the property and through furniture and washing machines and junk out the window cluttering up the yard I was unaware of it. The tenants call **** county **** county requested that I pick everything ** in the yard I called one *************************************************************************************** the back. They went out the next day and gave me a price I said no. They called back and said a lower price and I said no they said what would you be willing to pay for everything except the wood I said 350. They said OK they would get everything in the yard except the trees . I had someone else go by the next day to give me an estimate on trees alone and they asked if I wanted they washing machine 20 tires and three cans of paint to be picked up as well. I said what are you talking about everything is supposed to be gone they said no those things were remaining . I am mediately hung up and called one 800 got junk and said we had a verbal agreement very clear everything in the yard was to be removed obviously it was not they said their pictures didnt show it well the next day it just appeared so they were just not telling the truth about that because it was there and it was supposed to be picked up with everything else they refused to give me any refund on my money because my money included everything and they didnt get everything so they owe me for what they didnt pick up because everything was not picked up as was promised and told to me I had someone give them a check with no knowledge of what was supposed to have been done but I took them at their work that it was done and only found out the next day that it was it and Ive gone to every effort to get a refund and have gotten nowhere

We didn't take the washer, because her husband, who was on-site, asked the truck team not to take it. Her response to that was " he is not authorized to make that decision".  Although he was the authorized on-site contact, to whom the truck team took their instructions on what goes, as well as make the payment to the truck team.  And he also pulled out the tires and paint , because he had another company coming out to take the wood and they would take it, as we have a recycling fee for these items.  She wants me to pay her $150 because these items were not taken,  which her husband decided would not go with our truckteam, and therefore we did not charge for.  I offered to pickup the left over items for a discounted price, but not for free, as their are high recycling fees associated with those items.  Again, she insisted that we pay her $150, although we did not charge them for the items left behind (as instructed by her husband, the on-site contact).
We gave the customer a $368 discount on a $668 job already.  (only paid us $300 for a service that we charge $668 for) We went out of our way to make the onsite contact happy with our service.  As he was very pleased with our service.  I have offered to help her on mutiple occasions, but was refused.  Customer is demanding payment in return for not filing a complaint with BBB.

On January 26, 2022, 1800 GOT JUNK came to my home to remove one sofa, three flat screen tvs, six landscape 2X4s, and three lead pipes. I have used their services before, but this is the first time I was not home and only my 90 year old Mom was present. The company told her she had to pay an extra $100 to dispose of the tvs and charged her a total of $418. I indicated on the subsequent survey that I thought the company had taken advantage of her age when overcharging her for what they admitted was 3/8 of a truck load for them. They offered to discount a future service and I declined the offer. I requested instead a partial refund of the amount already paid (based on what they have charged me in the past for similar sized loads). The employee said he had to ask his manager about that and call me back. Its been almost a month without a callback. My Mom should have declined the service altogether when they told her $418. Instead she used her own money to pay them rather than the card I left to cover the expense. Its easy to setup an appointment, and the crews that have come to my home have been professional in appearance and in their interactions with me. They've negotiated the price for past services I used and handled the tasks quickly. But my Mom was taken advantage of on this date and should get some of her money back. She was not given a receipt to attach.
