      I'd like to start off that I am writing on behalf of my widowed mother. My father and mother built this cabin home in ****. My father died in 2015. My mother has done all she can to upkeep this cabin and I have helped in any way I can. We had an issue in 2019 where we hired North Georgia Floors to repair the home and had a good experience with them. In November of 2021, we called them(*****************) for an estimate to paint our home's exterior. We met with *** and he quoted the work. It was to include pressure washing, siding repair, exterior painting, painting the roof and trim.The original quote was $14,480 with a 50% deposit. Based on our prior experience, we felt comfortable with going ahead with the job. Unfortunately, the craftsmanship and painting was subpar and unprofessional. There are at least 7 areas where overspray appears in areas it should not be. Landscaping, gravel, windows, HVAC compressor. Very poor job. On top of that, they didn't paint the roof or trim even though they charged us for it. I have tried to work this out with *** and North Georgia Flooring but he pressured us to pay the remaining balance.Since February of 2022, *** has responsive and I have texts of our correspondance and received minimal effort to resolve. I have no other recourse but to file a complaint.

      I signed a proposal on 3/30/21 and paid a 50% deposit with Dan (owner) for bathroom restoration (new flooring, new vanity/sink/faucet install) and new carpet. I let him know our color choices on 4/12/21 and waited. And waited. I finally texted him on 5/21/21 to check on our flooring order and we scheduled install for 6/17/21 (after our vacation). The day before install, he texted that his crew chief was sick and needed to reschedule- we did to 6/23/21. And then again, the day before he called to tell me that the wrong carpet color had been delivered, blaming the error on the manufacturer, so we had to settle for just the bathroom until he could get the correct carpet in. Bathroom installers showed up over an hour late (without the crew chief, who was still sick) because he gave them the wrong address, left an hour later for lunch and to go get the tools they forgot, and took two days for what should've been a one day job (and that was with my husband providing tools and doing some of the finishing work). I will say that we have been pleased with the bathroom restoration, but the carpet is another story... "Correct" carpet arrived from manufacturer and we scheduled install for 7/14/21. I text him two days before to verify, and he has to push it back to 7/16/21. I leave my husband at home to monitor install and later in the afternoon he calls that there are obvious manufacturing flaws in the carpet, although they've already pulled the old carpet in one room. We have them do a "temporary" install in that room, but then I get home to discover that IT'S THE WRONG CARPET AGAIN! And once again, Dan blamed the manufacturer and said they would expedite the order. Well, I had to text him almost weekly to check on the status of the carpet, which supposedly finally arrived in October- three months later! Since then, we have had two different installation dates scheduled but cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, causing my husband to lose two of his personal days at work that he'd schedule to take off. When I tried to verify our most recent installation date, he did not respond to me for three days and told me we'd have to reschedule AGAIN. I'd finally had it and told him that would not work for us, he could keep his carpet, and we were going with another business. I have not heard from him since, plus his business Facebook page has been removed (where I'd previously posted a negative review, along with MANY others). Fortunately, I did not lose any money because the deposit I paid covered the bathroom renovation, but I lost more than SIX MONTHS waiting for new carpet, and for the last four months my house has been in complete disarray as I didn't want to put everything back in place in July, in anticipation of a carpet installation that might come at any time. I went to another local store and from my initial visit to carpet installation was less than two weeks (and they told me that the carpet I'd previously ordered had actually been discontinued earlier this year). So I HIGHLY recommend Northeast Georgia Floors in Baldwin instead of this business if you ever want the job to get done!
