I'd like to start off that I am writing on behalf of my widowed mother. My father and mother built this cabin home in ****. My father died in 2015. My mother has done all she can to upkeep this cabin and I have helped in any way I can. We had an issue in 2019 where we hired North Georgia Floors to repair the home and had a good experience with them. In November of 2021, we called them(*****************) for an estimate to paint our home's exterior. We met with *** and he quoted the work. It was to include pressure washing, siding repair, exterior painting, painting the roof and trim. The original quote was $14,480 with a 50% deposit. Based on our prior experience, we felt comfortable with going ahead with the job. Unfortunately, the craftsmanship and painting was subpar and unprofessional. There are at least 7 areas where overspray appears in areas it should not be. Landscaping, gravel, windows, HVAC compressor. Very poor job. On top of that, they didn't paint the roof or trim even though they charged us for it. I have tried to work this out with *** and North Georgia Flooring but he pressured us to pay the remaining balance.Since February of 2022, *** has responsive and I have texts of our correspondance and received minimal effort to resolve. I have no other recourse but to file a complaint.Initial Complaint

My wife and I went to pick out new carpet for our bedroom. The sales guy said he had several carpet pieces that would work. Took us to the warehouse and we purchased a larg piece of carpet and a matching small piece just in case the big didnt cover the entire bedroom and small 5 foot hallway. The sales guy put my name and phone number on the carpet and he and I pulled it to the side. He gave us an installer of theirs name and number to have it installed. The installer was to pick up the carpet and bring to do job. Well the installer stopped taking my calls and text so I reached back out the carpet store for a new installer but never got returned phone calls. (Multiple messages left) I then went by several times with all the lights on but the doors were locked. The last time I went there was a number on the door different from the store number and a not that said if you need assistance call this number. I left 3 messages after not getting anyone to pick up. One call someone picked the phone up and it sounded like they were driving bur hung the phone up quickly. I just tried to go by the store again and now the store is closed up and all items have been removed. Where is my carpet or my money????? Heck of a way to go out of business s******* people over! The sales guy said sense it was a scrap piece of carpet then cash was the only way to pay and no reason for a receipt. What a joke!!Initial Complaint

We contracted with North Georgia Floors and Restoration on February 26, 2021 for new carpet. We provided the owner, Dan *****, with a deposit of $1420.00. The carpet was originally scheduled to be installed on April 22, but we were asked to reschedule for a couple of weeks later. The carpet was backordered, or maybe there was a conflict with the installers. I don't remember for sure. A few weeks later, we were asked to reschedule again, because the carpet was not yet in. A few weeks later, we were given another excuse, again either backordered or installer issues. On August 24, I requested that we forget the new carpet and just get our refund back. Dan ***** agreed. We still have not received the refund. Dan has purportedly had health issues. But he assured us the refund was on its way. At a face to face encounter, he promised to deliver the check personally on Monday. Then I learned he was out of town on Monday for a funeral. He also promised to mail the check. We still have not received the refund and the last several communications with him have gone unanswered. I have attached emails on this subject. Phone calls to him were not documented. ( I didn't think it would come to this. ) Any help in obtaining our refund would be appreciated. Please note the business name is North Georgia Floors and Restoration located in Clarkesville GA, 30523.Initial Complaint

On 4/15/21, North Georgia Floors quoted a shower remodel. In early May, we finalized the sale and completed the 12 months same as cash papers. We were told the job would take 3 days to complete, and they would be ready to start in 4-6 weeks. On 6/2, I asked for a start date. I was told the week of 6/22. We were going on vacation that week, so he said they would start on 6/29. I checked in weekly to see when the job would begin. Each week, I was told that they would get started the following week. The job finally began on 8/16, after we had already made 3 payments. Our 3 day remodel was completed in 19 days. Most importantly, the wrong tile was installed and retails for about $13 less per sq ft than what we ordered. The owner was nonchalant about the issue. We asked for him to finish the job with existing tile and pay off the balance of the loan. He apologized and said he would handle the finances the next day. He has done nothing, and now we owe the balance on a product we did not get.
