I purchased their services, believing the agent could get me my same doctor. After their approval process, I looked online and saw a doctor's name I didn't know. When I tried to go to their website, I could not find the doctor and was told by Member Services that my doctor was out of network. So, the agent who sold me the insurance lied even after I told her the reason and the importance of keeping my doctor. The only reason I am using BCBS is that my former employee was using the same insurance. I now realize it is all a scam to get people to buy their plan and try to force them to use their listed doctors...and start all over...regardless of your history with your doctor and finding a doctor that actually cares about your health.Review from Dawn H

Twice Anthem BCBS representatives have helped me to correct incorrect hospital, doctor or lab codes by staying on the line with me and actually calling the representative companies themselves! Like me, they often have had to wait 6-15 minutes until another company rep came on the line (this past time it was ******* ********* for example and previously it was a lab associated with a preventative ***********). Apparently, the hospital correctly coded a preventative screening I had done (zero deductible), the hospital did too, but the doctor did not. Anthem has been with me to fight and correct charges due to incorrect issues on their side (or codes) and both times it has been overturned. The BEST customer service in my opinion!Review from Carlos R

Terrible, terrible, terrible business practice. Its been over 11 months, multiple calls, at least 10 times trying to get my medical bills paid and no luck. I get on the phone and tried to get this resolved several times and no luck at all. They have said they will call me back and nothing. I have yet to received the first phone call back from them. A lot of my medical bill have gone to collection because this insurance has not paid my bill like they were supposed to. THEY WILL NOT PAY MY MEDICAL BILLS. I have confirmation number that my bill has been paid every month, but they still don't pay any of my claims. Is this FRAUD or what?? Why is that? Can some one do something about it? It seems that I am not the only one with this problem. I can only give one star and that is too much. I will give you no starsReview from Marks C

Bad, bad and more bad. Anthem BCBS debit card suspended, the receptionist where I’ve had the procedure done submitted on my behalf the paper work needed for me to use my Anthem BCBS debit card. But the representative says my card is still suspended. I set a balance on my card, still taking money out of paycheck each pay period, that can not use. Not understanding. Anthem BCBS of Georgia still going to there money, but I can’t use mineReview from Toni T

This insurance company is absolutely terrible. They do not answer their provider services line, and when they do it is often the "wrong department". I have been transferred back and forth about 5 times trying to verify mental health benefits and they have not been helpful at all. The automated system also does not work correctly when attempting to enter the member ID. It is despicable.
