      12/31/2022 I'm so amgry at AutoNation Volkswagen Columbus!! Dropped my car off at 8:50am for my 9:00am scheduled appointment. Discussed needed maintenance at check-in. New VIP Relationship guy Terri B******* introduced himself to me, letting me know he called me earlier to confirm my appointment, this while I waited for my husband to pick me up for breakfast and errands (usual habit to keep from waiting at the dealership). After hearing NOTHING by 1PM, we returned to the dealership to find my car still in the same spot I left it. After waiting outside for 30 minutes, I went inside. The girl I dealt with initially immediately told me she was just about to call me to ask if I could leave my car until Monday. EXCUSE ME? She explained being a 'drop off' negated my appointment time and let 'waiters' go first. EXCUSE ME AGAIN? I had no option but to leave it but not without expressing my disappointment. Then I called Mr VIP man, informing him how I wasn't feeling very VIP at the moment. After taking my car there for 6 years, after the initial purchase, for servicing and putting up with some little inconveniences, I have never complained. And after all the freaking money I have given them (today neighborhood of $700), I have never complained. BUT TO MAKE A APPOINTMENT BECAUSE TIME IS VALUABLE TO ALL PARTIES INVOLVED AND FIND OUT IT MEANS NOTHING IS JUST A BIT ANGERING!! And when Mr VIP did return my call 2 1/2 hours later, I was told they had 2 employees call out so they were short handed, and there were 2 other customers who apparently ended up in my same situation. I was reassured my vehicle would be the first one serviced and ready. So today being Monday 01/02/2023, I attempted to contact the dealership beginning at noon after receiving no word/update. Successful at 1 pm, I was told they had not started on my car. We told them we would be enroute to get the car. They offered more excuses I was not interested in hearing.

      just now NEW
      Terrible experience with the GM, Laurin H****. Worked with Ben, a salesman on an incoming **** * and Richard S*******, Sales Manager. Ben said they were selling $** over sticker when I called. I told him I'd think about it. A couple hours later I received a written quote from the Richard, the Sales Manager. Some expensive "packs" were added. I assumed that to be the mark-up rather than $**. Shortly afterwards, Richard called and apologized. He said to compensate for the hassle he'd reduce the mark-up to $*****. I said ok and paid a deposit.

      Today, he called at * **! I was asleep. He left no message. He called again stating the Ms. H**** refused to honor the agreement!

      So unprofessional and disrepectful. What ****** customer service! I told them to keep it.

      I'm upset and have never been treated like this at any ***, ********, or ***** dealership.

      I do NOT recommend AutoNation!

      I am so disappointed with AutoNation VW Colimbus Ga's response. I was given a written offer by the Sales Manager, paid a deposit, only to have Ms. Lonnie H****, GM, tell me the following day that her Sales Manager was new and didn't know what he was doing.

      This dealership is very disorganized. I was made to feel like I was the one with poor ethics. What?! AutoNation VW Columbus GA cannot be trusted. The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. Very poorly managed under the current General Manager, Ms. H****.

      Be very careful. This dealership will not honor their word - even in writing.

      VW - I hope you are reading this.

      *** ******** was afforded several opportunities to purchase the vehicle at the original pricing quoted when he first called our dealership from out of state and spoke to a Sales Consultant. *** ******** was sent a subsequent Sales Menu by the Sales Manager with additional vehicle protections that we offer every potential client and most see value in protecting their investments. On the Sales Menu, it clearly states that these options are**Optional products or services and not required for vehicle purchase.** Even after *** ******** used suggestive language in communications, we continued to attempt in assisting him with a purchase after posting the first complaint (5/20). At the time of the last communication (5/24), the dealership offered to include (at no additional cost to him) vehicle protections totaling $1,258 as well as arranging cross-country transportation at dealer cost saving him an addition $400-$600. After performing his own due diligence and not responding to our last offer to earn his business in an ethical manner for 5 days, he sent the email below....*** ******** has refused to accept my calls to attempt to handle this in a professional manner and had he taken my calls he would have known that I am in fact in fact a male and not a female. This second posting is merely placed in frustration after realizing that the dealership was acting in a professional as well as ethical manner and he missed out on an extremely hard to find vehicle that competitors in his home state of ******** are charging as much as $15,000 over MSRP. We continue to do business in an ethical and professional manner providing customers with a peerless experience.

      "Ms. H**** - the car must be sold by now yes? You're right - there are no cars below a $5k mark-up these days. Is it still available?

      Let me know if it's available. I imagine not at this point. A week is a year in the Golf R world. If it's not...ok, but I can't put the white/manual out of my head."

      I didn't realize Mr. Hanna was a male. He left NO voice messages for me - not one. Moreover, Mr. Hanna still has yet to accept any responsibility for backing out of a written deal with a deposit being paid. Just excuses and rationalizing his poor and unethical behavior.

      The "protection packages" he offered are they money making type dealers try and sell in the Finance Department - the type that cost next to nothing and are extremely profitable. The cross-country transportation quote was no deal at all. I found cheaper rates on my own.

      Really be careful working with AutoNation VW Columbus GA. Disorganized, poorly managed, and will cancel a written off (made by their Sales Manager) at whim to score more profit.
