Not sure what was discussed, I was awaiting closing and I saw the property being on the market for sale. The sellers kept my earnest money even though I didn't back out of the agreement. Wasn't kept up to date about anythingBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/15) */ ********************************************************************************************** Complainant was not, even after contract extensions were made for her, able to obtain financing nor did she get a denial letter from a loan company. All financing and due diligence contingency periods had expired and agent got no response from her when asked to sign contract termination. Contract is clear that buyer forfeits earnest money if sale doesn't take place because of buyer default. Per Real Estate law, this letter was sent to her stating that she was in default and earnest money would be sent to Seller after 10 days if we had no response. We still have the deposit. We, per law and contract , can elect to go ahead and pay to seller or hold it and let the buyer go to court and interplead for it. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) There were not any documents that I received that wasn't signed in the same day. They need to talk to their realtor that was handling my purchase. There were no attempts made to contact me to sign any documents that were left unsigned, by email nor phone. I have gotten a letter stating my earnest money was distributed to the seller. In which I'm not sure as to why. There are a lot of details missing from the realtor and loan officer in which I haven't heard from since June. I didn't forfeit on anything, why would I do that and allow my family to continue to be homeless? Doesn't sound quite right nor makes sense.
