I had my roof resurfaced by Cross Country roofing about 12 years ago and was given a 30 year warranty. About 7 years ago I started seeing bubbles in my roof. At first it wasn't that bad but more and larger bubbles appeared and I finally contacted Cross Country to have them come out and take a look at it and let me know what was going on. The materials used is a polyurethane coating over foam. What I was told by the owner is that the bubbles were caused by moisture under the coating. After several months of going back and forth they finally came out and replaced a portion of the roof, (not the whole roof). Now the portion of the roof that was replaced has separated from the original roof and has left about a 3 inch gap between the old shingles and the new foam and poly coating. This gap runs the length that section of the roof, (approximately 20 feet). I called the owner and he came out and looked at it. I was not present when he came by as I was not told when he would be there. He called me and said that the reason it separated is because the flashing was not properly installed and that he would come out and repair it but I would have to pay for the materials to fix it. If the flashing was not properly installed before he resurfaced the roof he should have brought that to my attention at the time and fixed it prior to resurfacing the roof.
