I have two open accounts with Sunset Finance. The most recent incident started on 9/30 when I called them to make a $300 payment. I think her name is ******* but she is the manager. I told her I wanted to pay the smaller loan off and that I would take care of the other bill at a later time because they know I only get paid monthly being an educator in Rockdale. She had me speak to someone who maybe was her supervisor. That person would not allow me make the payment stating that since I had two late loans that I could not just pay one off because the other was late as well. I explained that I had $300 to pay and I was denied the opportunity to pay it. The person told me that I could come in person because I asked, if they could just combine the two loans. I was told I would have to come in the office. I then explained that I didn't want to refinance but just pay them off as I can. I was told that they would have to call Me back. I said ok. They called back the following week while I was on a family vacation. I explained that I tried to pay them last week and they refused my payment. They since have filed a legal action against me. My complaint is that Sunset Finance is trying to make me refinance and refuses to accept payments because they want to keep refinancing. Prior to this that same manager two months before started yelling at me I'm the office saying "Legal, Legal we sending him to legal" and then put her fingers in her ears, as a child would, saying blah, blah, blah, as I was trying to explain that I did not want to refinance because I wanted to pay them off. I called their corporate office to file a complaint as well. This company has refused to take payments before because they try to get you to refinance. As you can see they are predatory lendors when they gave me a second loan at the time the first loan was behind them they get upset and turn unprofessional.
