I am writing to formally complain about a recent experience at my local Planet Fitness club. I visited the facility with the intention of working out but was denied access by the manager on duty. The reason given was an incorrectly uploaded photo and the need for a secondary payment method on file.I explained that I did not have my bag or wallet with me at the time, but my request for entry was still refused. Whiledriving home to retrieve my wallet, I called the manager and was informed that there were numerous notes on my account. However, I have never been notified of any issues, whether in person, via email, or by phone.Due to this lack of communication and the denial of service, I decided to cancel my membership. During the cancellation process, I was not asked for feedbackand the manager inaccurately reported that my reason for cancellation was moving, despite my actual reason being the poor service and lack of transparency. If my last check in date was 9/3/24 I should have been premited to use the facilities. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter and address these issues accordingly. I transferred my Planet Fitness membership from ***********, ** after relocating to *******, **. This was sometime in early summer of 2023. I signed up for the Classic Membership, which costs $10 monthly. However, I recently noticed that I had been getting charged $25 per month since November 23, 2023 and twice in April of 2024. This has been an overage of $108.I just found this out after looking for a charge from another business. I received a text message a few months ago about my account. I asked the person at the counter in ******* about the message. He checked my account and said that all was well.I went to Planet Fitness in ******* today and spoke with ***********************************. He said that something went wrong with the bank account and the backup payment was a credit card. He then said that I was charged $15 late fee every payment since Nov. This sounds like a SCAM!I want to be refunded!
