On 3/3/2022. ******** (******) ***** gave an estimate to extend patio. He quoted the total amount as $1,110.00. He said that i would have to give him ****** deposit and balance once completed. I wrote him a check for $****** and he left my home and went straight to the bank to cash the check. He was suppose to come back to start work on 3/7/2022, 3/8/2022, 3/10/2022. On 3/10/2022 he came and I was in my home and observed him. He worked in my yard for 35 minutes, dug up dirt and put slab down and left. He stated he was coming back on 3/11/2022, again he cancelled because his truck broke down. On 3/13/2022, After three cancellation, and me always having to reach out to him, i let him know that i am cancelling and would no longer need his services. I let him know i am requesting my money back minus degrading and he said "okay." On 3/17/2022, I reached out to him and asked when would he be coming by to bring my money. He did not respond. On 3/19/2022, I reached out again asking for my money. He responded on 3/21/2022 stating he will bring my money by the end of the week. He further stated he have a few jobs this week and when he is paid, from those jobs, he will pay me. He has not communicated with me since 3/25/2022. or taken my calls. I had to pay to have the dirt hauled away and because the dirt sit so long it killed the grass. I also have text message of him agreeing to pay me minus degrading. I have text message where he agree to bring my money a certain day and did not come or call. I have a message where he tried to up the price and I let him know i checked with lowes and the price he quoted for forming was incorrect. Then he stated he had my account mixed up with someone else. I have all the communications to send by e-mail if needed.
