I was notified in December that I had to purchase flood insurance on my home. I contacted The Flood Insurance Guru and was issued a policy on 12/13/2022. At that time I paid the whole premium of $242.10 (this amount is with processing fees for a CC). On 12/16/022 I received a notice from my mortgage company stating they had also paid the premium of $233.91. On 12/29/2022 the insurance company that the policy is through (National Catastrohpe Insurance Program, **************, **) sent me a letter stating they had received a duplicate payment and had reimbursed the $233.91 to ********************** DBA The Flood Insurance Guru. As of today, 4/23/2023, I have not received a refund for the duplicate payment. I have contacted them several times and was told they would either credit my CC company and/or send me the payment. Neither has happened. At this point, I have paid in full my CC company and would like a check mailed to me. Also, as of 4/23/2023, this policy has cost me approximately $725.00 as I have paid the insurance company and also had to replace the money in my escrow account.Business response

We have mailed refund checks to ********************* in Jan 2023 and Feb 203 after we received it from the carrier. However to this date neither check has been cashed. We also recommended doing it electronically through paypal, venmo, or zelle.Customer response

The last time I heard from *********************** was on 2/9/2023 asking me for a good address to send the refund to and I responded right away with the address. I had called several times and all calls went to voice mail. I had left a message once and called back several other times and received no response. A letter was received by me on 12/29/2022 from NCIP (the carrier) stating they had sent the refund to ********************** LLC DBA The Flood Insurance Guru and not to me. I also do not do any cash apps or electronic payments.Business response

another refund check was mailed on 5/10/2023 however we do not see that this check has been cashed yet
