BUYER BEWARE New to ******* area and needed someone to hang 2 pendant lights over my kitchen bar. The outlets were PREWIRED. I called Arc Angel Electric because they were listed as a local business. The technician came to my home to install the lights. First of all, he charged me over $500 to hang 2 PREWIRED LIGHTS. My sister was there and he hung them way too high and she told him she thought they should be lower. (the internet says they should be ***** inches from the surface). They are 52 " inches. The technician said he would leave extra chain and wire and if I wanted them to be lowered to call him and he would come out and lower them. When I got home it was obvious they needed to be lowered. I called and was told they would charge an additional $189! I was not happy since I had overpaid, to begin with.Felt like the person on phone did not realize the situation so I went to the establishment and kindly told them the situation. They said they would check with the electrician and call me back. I did get a callback and said they would have to charge me an additional $189 to do the job the way it should have been done, to begin with.Sad to see this business care more about $ than doing the right thing.

We initially received a call from you on 8/8/22 to set up a service to install your light fixtures, and we were able to schedule you for an appointment the very next day, 8/9/22. Our technician was able to arrive over an hour early to your scheduled appointment that day, and upon arrival he was informed by you that your sister would be meeting with him for this appointment. He then spoke with your sister, they reviewed the work you were looking for, and agreed upon a price to complete it. We provide completely free estimates, so if price was a concern at the time, you or your sister could have told our technician to leave and you would not have been charged a *****. However, your sister signed our estimate to proceed with work. We were told that she had full authority to authorize any and all work in your home for this appointment. Our technician began to assemble the two light fixtures and found out that one of them was defective. He offered to install the working one on the 9th and then come back on when a replacement had been purchased to install the other, or wait until you had a replacement to install them both at the same time. Your sister chose to wait. It is here that we will note that we did not charge anything for the hour and 20 minutes that we spent on your house on 8/9/22. We returned to your house on 8/10/22 to install both fixtures, since a replacement had been acquired. Our technician installed both light fixtures, then asked your sister to verify that they were installed to her liking. She told him that they were a little too high and asked if he could lower them. He lowered both fixtures without any additional charges. He then asked a second time to make sure they were at the right height, at which time your sister informed him that they were perfect. Our technician explained that he could lower them for free as long as he was still there, but as soon as he left there would be additional charges for him to come back. Your sister assured him that they were at the right height and she was happy, which meant you would be happy. Then your sister paid our technician and signed off on the invoice. We did inform you that we would charge $189 to return to your home and lower those two lights once you started asking for us to do so. We believe that this amount is more than fair, as we offered multiple times to lower the fixtures for free during the initial installation appointment. Especially considering the fact that we already completed a free trip to your house on 8/9/22 when we found out one of the fixtures was defective. At this point, this is where we stand. We provided an extremely quick response time by getting you an appointment next day. We expressed generosity by not charging for the appointment on 8/9/22. We showed flexibility by lowering the fixtures once for free, and offering to do so again if asked during the initial appointment. We provided a transparent experience by creating a quote for this work and getting signed approval for the cost before proceeding. Considering the exceptional experience that has been detailed in this response, we are willing to come back out to your house to lower those fixtures for $189. If you do not want to pay for this service, we completely understand and respect your choice. Please let us know if you would like to have us back out to lower those fixtures. Thank you
