            The crew knocked 2 laptops off our bookshelf ~10 feet from the work zone. This is not in dispute; we have video and PureOne acknowledged responsibility. One laptop's main damage could be fixed by replacing the power cord for $48.59. Our local computer repair shop examined the 2nd laptop (for $55), estimating a partial repair with used parts would cost more than replacing the laptop. We provided this info to Pure One who credited $500 to our invoice, charging our card for the balance without our agreement. The laptop cost $899.99 on 11/6/20, and was ~7 months old when broken by Pure One's crew in May 2021; similar models are still in the same price range. We should be made whole with replacement value and cord/repair expenses for $1084.48. In compromise, we requested Pure One refund a 1-year depreciated value plus the cord/repair expenses for $887.66 (less the $500 credit already applied). As we have not yet heard back from them on this offer, we request the difference of $387.66.
