On January 3, 2022, I took 12 items to sell at Uptown Cheapskate (resale store). This included a $120 pair of boots that were worn just once. I completed and signed their electronic personal account form, indicating that I did not want my items donated to another agency if Uptown Cheapskate did not purchase my item(s). The store was busy and the clerk said that it would be a long time until they could appraise my items. I decided to leave the items for appraisal later, but I was not told when that would be. I was given a receipt (see uploaded document) which I consider to be a contract. The receipt states that "you will receive an email receipt at the email address listed above with payment total, notifying you that the payment you have selected is available. You will have until the end of the day to pick up any items we were unable to purchase." I had planned on picking up my unsold items after I received an email from Uptown Cheapskate. I did not receive an email that day, nor the next. I finally called the store on January 10th and was told by the clerk that my items were all donated. I said that I had never received an email and so I expect to be compensated for my high quality items that were donated without my permission. The clerk said that she would notify the supervisor about my problem and request for compensation. Since no one called me back, I called again on January 12th and spoke with a supervisor, ****. She said that she would notify the store manager about my request. I called again on January 17th and finally spoke with the manager, ******. She said that she would contact the store owner with my request for compensation. and that she would call me with the owner's response to my problem. I have not yet received any phone call.
