I purchased this vehicle on April 17th. Within two days of purchasing this vehicle, the transmission began to slip between third and fourth gears and fifth and sixth gears. When I reached out to the dealership, they sent me a list of places near ******* to purchase a used transmission. Within about two weeks, the starter went out and left me stranded. I have reached out to the dealership personally and have reached out an attorney with no luck. I had this vehicle, checked out at multiple places and every place I had it checked out, felt as if there wouldve been no way that the dealership had not known there was a problem with the transmission before he sold it.Evidently, there is a problem with this particular model of vehicle where the transmission could have issues between 90 ,000 and ******* miles. **** if I was able to find a used transmission with low mileage, I am still looking at $3,000 to $5,000 for a replacement transmission. A new transmission would cost me in the neighborhood of $7000. With the starter having gone out and the possibility of looking at a used or a new transmission, the repair cost is well over 3/4 of the cost of the vehicle. In my opinion, at this point in time, a refund of my money, the money I paid as a down payment($500 cash),and the money that was issued as credit with my van trade-in($1,500) is what I would consider fair seeing is how I have a van that has been sitting undrivable since May 5th.After doing a little more digging, I found several other complaints online, very similar to mine. They purchased a vehicle and within days or weeks of the purchase there were transmission issues that popped up.

      BBB Of *************, ****** & NE *******,

All our vehicles without exceptions are checked and if any mechanical issues are found, they are fixed, on top of that all required maintenance is done. This particular vehicle was serviced and there were no mechanical issues found. In addition to that  since we are used car dealership we offer warranty to all our vehicles  (which can be purchased separately). Please find attached copies of the documents with clients signatures, which states that client declined extended warranty and vehicle was sold as it is.

      Regards,

I am rejecting this response because the vehicle did not last 30 days. I purchased a separate extended warranty which requires 30 days/1000 miles before becoming effective. The dealership should take some responsibility in selling cars that break down before 30 days like with ALL purchases in the U.S. you can return within 30 days if not satisfiled. Dealership would not answer my emails nor return my phone calls which give vibes of avoidance. They knew what condition this car was in and deliberately sold a bad vehicle. We will pursue this in Magistrate ***** if the dealership rejects any responsibility in this matter. We are asking for $10k in repairs. Had this occurred outside the 30 day period, we would not be pursuing this matter at all.

      Sincerely,

      *********************

      Hi *****,

I see here that you bought the car over 6 months ago and have no warranty. We do sales as is, but if something happens we try to see what's going on. But in your case, we weren't aware of the situation. We don't recall you contacting us about problems with the car. So, could you please explain what happened?

I bought a car from United Global Imports in ******* ** on 10/4/2022, even though later I saw she put 10/1/2022 as the date of sale, for $10,300. The car is an 2012 ********** CC RLine and it was a but pricey to me but its the car im comfortable with so I wanted it. even though later I see she put 10/1/2022 as the date of sale. On 10/24/2022 my car was no longer drivable. I thought it just needed an oil change but in actuality it needs an entirely new engine. I havent even put **** miles on the car. It only had 81, 781miles when i bought it and when I dropped it off it had ****** miles on it. The dealership did sell me the car as is but it was advertised that the car is in excellent condition with new parts and an extensive service record. How can a car with such low mileage and in such good condition need a new motor so soon? My mechanic, who is certified in German cars, has determined there was no oil in the car when it was given to me, even though this dealership is saying they changed the oil and everything else. The dealership now has the car to look at it for repairs but they are saying the damage is no ones fault. But want me to pay for the parts (a $3000 motor) and they will pay their people to fix it.

      Dear Victorian,
we are sorry to hear that you have an engine problem with your Volkswagen CC RLine. Meanwhile we are checking and maintaining all and every car we are selling, all cars are passing emissions before we even advertise them on sale. Of course on that exact vehicle we changed oil with all manufacture requirements and checked oil level before sale. Even ****** level is low - vehicle will light on cluster with sound announcement. Like you were told there is no ones fault in the engine knocking. Car was sold AS-IS. At the moment of sale you sign papers, you review the agreement. Also you were suggested to get an extended warranty on this vehicle and our salesperson discussed the benefits and risks of extended warranty. Unfortunately you decline an option of warranty. Even after the car was sold AS-IS we tried to help you with engine repair but again you declined our attempts to compensate labor and materials and to split this repair. We wish you well in your future endeavors.

      Hello ******,

At the moment of sale United Global Imports provided your car with a 30 days warranty on electrical parts. Car was towed to us and the car was run without any problems and our service staff made several test-drives to find what you complained about. There was any any fault when the car arrived at our dealership. Finally we found a problem and ordered the parts, after we received it, changed it momentarily and returned to you. In all time of the diagnosis and repair you were informed about what was happening. And you were told that the several days that your car was at our shop will not take into the warranty account.

I paid $4000 down on a *** 3 series On Saturday March 26,2022, I drove it home 48 miles and before I got home all service lights came on and car started smoking and shaking. I made it home and parked it at my house. Called the dealership and told owner of dealer that I didn't want the car. He said he will fix it and only if he can not he will give me another car. He didn't get the car towed back to shop until Tuesday. No communication until today after I called and texted asking the problem with car. He said wiring issues and something about mouse. He said I wouldn't understand because I wasn't a mechanic. I ask again what the exact problem was and he said ecm mod. I have to pay a car note of $520 a month for that car and only drove it home to break down on me. I have two young kids I have to bring to school and been renting a car for over a month. I put all the money down on that car and he still has the car and not being trueful that he sold me a lemon. And said he really didn't have to fix it once I drove off the lot. He said he would fix it but after driving it home over 40 miles it wasn't safe and wouldn't reserve and smoking from engine. Please help me

I recently purchased a vehicle through said company. I did not have to finance the vehicle seeing how I was pre approved through my bank. This is great for the dealership because it is essentially paying for the car cash. This purchase took place approximately on December 1st, 2021. About a month later the car that was purchased already began to have functionality problems. I reached out to the dealer and explained what was going on with the vehicle. He spoke in a manner as if he was already aware of these problems but failed to tell me about them. His demeanor and the way he spoke was in a way like "it is not my problem anymore". I am at awe that this is how someone will conduct business, especially when like I said before I basically paid for the car cash. My total was roughly 16,00 dollars. I would just like some justice and be able to either receive credit toward a new vehicle or have my vehicle replaced.
