On Friday, July 21, 2023 I contacted All HVAC Services to report an issue with my ** unit. On Saturday, July 22, 2023 *************************, owner of All HVAC Services, arrived at my house to inspect the problem. Upon his arrival, he performed a diagnostic test, and according to his test result, he concluded the compressor needed to be replaced. On Thursday, July 27, 2023, ***** returned to my house, he removed the current compressor from the unit and left with it. He later returned with another (new) compressor, which he claimed to have picked up from my warranty company. He began the installation process. In approximately 10 minutes, he was done. I asked if the problem was fixed, he said yes. He then presented an invoice of $1,099, a full payment was made immediately via Zelle. Upon receiving his payment, he stated he would email us an invoice, no invoice was provided until the following business day.On Saturday, July 29, 2023 the ** unit stopped working. On Monday, July 31, 2023, I contacted ***** to inform him about the unit not working, he scheduled an appointment to come look at it the following Wednesday, August 2, 2023. On Wednesday, August 2, 2023, I waited for *****, he was a no-show, no-call. On Thursday morning, August 3, 2023, I texted ***** and shared photos and videos of what was going on with the unit. He replied, It's freezing up, I am aware. That is a totally different problem then why I came out and proceeded to say "I will see if I can squeeze you in today". Hours went by, I did not hear from *****. I texted him, he stated he was behind. I waited for him, once again, he was a no-show, no-call. Later that evening, I asked him, when will he be coming by to check out the unit, he never responded, he stopped communicating with me that day and I have not heard from him since. Certified letters were sent to ***** at the address listed, but he failed to respond.November 6, ***** emailed me to demand that I remove my review from Yelp, (which was posted on October 31). And to inform me about his decision not to refund my money. And for the first time, to discuss his warranty coverages (months after).According to All HVAC Servicess invoice, the Warranty section states, All parts and Labor will have a 1 year Warranty from the date part was installed. He failed to honor that.I am now demanding a refund on my initial $1,099 payment since my ** unit isnt fixed, still not operable and still having the exact same issue as it did before ***** claimed to fix it. ***** never returned to check on his poor job. We've been dealing with this since July, ***** showed no interest in resolution. He did not care about my family spending the summer without a working ** unit. At this point ***** isn't trustworthy and all I need from him is a refund.

      Business response

      11/08/2023

In 2022 customer called for original service call which we went out and diagnosed a bad compressor on the basement system of home. At that time customer stated they did not have the funds for the repair.

On July 21, 2023 i responded to a service request from customer. Upon arrival i confirmed our findings from 2022 that the compressor was bad on a **** system that services the basement area of the home and that the **** system was not installed by ALL HVAC SERVICES. I informed homeowner of problem with system and gave pricing for a warranty compressor installation. We returned to the home on July 27, 2023 and installed the warranty compressor. On July 29, 2023 customer called and said system was freezing up. I informed homeowner that we would return and diagnosis the problem and if it had to do with the compressor change out then it would be covered under All **** Labor warranty for the compressor service the customer approved and paid for, but if the problem was due to some other system malfunction then it would not be covered under labor warranty.

When a **** compressor is non functioning then it is absolutely impossible to test the rest of the refrigeration system. When a compressor is not running you can not tell the actual refrigerant readings because compressor is not pumping the refrigerant through the system. We offered multiple times to come out free of charge and diagnosis the problem and again stated if it had to do with the compressor install it would be covered under warranty and if it was a different malfunction then it would not. The customer did not like this response and has said multiple times i should warranty the entire **** system that we did not install and that we only replaced a compressor on. No company will warranty a entire **** system that they did not install. As well any **** technician will tell you that if a compressor is not pumping then you can not in no way check the refrigerant cycle.

If the customer understands that the warranty only covers the compressor then All HVAC Services has no issues coming out and diagnosing the system free of charge.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The Contractors statements on this response are false. As I stated before, All HVAC Services was contracted to fix a problem with my unit, not only did he not complete the task, he failed to follow up and refused to show up each and every time that he offered to come by to inspect the unit. Clearly he doesnt respect peoples time and their hard earned money. With that being said, I am done dealing with him. I dont intend to waste anymore time on him. He's had multiple opportunities to make things right, he chose to do what he wanted every time. All our conversations are documented, I am looking forward to him proving these statements in court.

Contractor needs to stop referring to other techs. He doesnt know what they can or cannot do. He needs to focus on the problem at hand and take accountability for his poor ways of handling things.

At this point the contractor has proven that he is dishonest, unreliable, untrustworthy, and very unprofessional. I do not want him anywhere near my property as I do not know what his intentions are. As previously mentioned, all I need from him is to refund my money, so I may have the opportunity to seek professional and competent services.

      Sincerely,

      **********************

As stated in the first response. Upon our first trip to the home we found a bad compressor, when a compressor is not running you can not check any other parts of the refrigeration cycle. We replaced the compressor upon customers approval and once customer called back in saying there was a issue, we informed customer that if problem was with our compressor change out then she would be covered 100% under warranty. If the problem was found elsewhere in the system then the problem would not be covered under our warranty. We can not cover a entire HVAC system that we did not install. We will 199% cover the compressor which is the only service we provided under our warranty. The customer continues to request that we cover the entire HVAC system again which we did not install.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

As stated in my previous response, any and all communications with the contractor are documented. Notice how he continues to repeat the same thing and avoiding the actual issue. He is really trying to convince himself that these conversations took place. I guess if he writes them often enough it will eventually sound like it really happened.

Let's do this, out of all the numbers of times he claimed to offer to come inspect my unit, how many times has he actually shown up?

      Sincerely,

      **********************

On Monday, 10/18, Wade from All HVAC Services came to our house at the request of our warranty company, 2-10. We had no a/c and no heat. He told us it was a control board in our hearing unit. We paid him the $100 fee by check which was cashed the same day. He told us it would take 48 hours to get the part and come back and install. There has been no contact or updates so we called the warranty company on 10/23, who told us they would reach out to AHS. Nothing from either party. I reach out to 2-10 on Monday, 10/25. They tell me the tech never called in a diagnosis. They say AHS will call me that day or the next to schedule repair. I then get a voicemail from the warranty company asking if my work has been completed. I call them, tell them nobody has reached out to me. I call the warranty back and they tell me they are going to order the parts today, 10/26, or tomorrow. I ask for a supervisor of 2-10, stay on hold for a half hour. The guy comes back and says Renae will call me today or in the morning. So far, no call and 9 days without heat. My house temperature hasn't reached over 68. The high temperatures this week will be in the 50's. I have leukemia and am always cold to begin with. How am I supposed to sit in my house when the temperature drops even further. Both these companies are not doing their job!

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/27) */ All HVAC services has no technician named Wade. Second the 2-10 Warranty company did not allow our company to purchase the part as they wanted to get the part cheaper. So on 10/27/21 at 12:11pm we got notification from the 2-10 warranty company that the part was ready for pickup. I am sorry your warranty company does business this way but we have no control when they will not allow our company to purchase the parts needed. Consumer Response /* (2000, 6, 2021/10/27) */ This claim has been resolved. The actual fault lies with the warranty company who has laid blame on the service technician.
