I brought my weedeater in to get looked at because of a fuel leak, the guy calls me back about two weeks later and informs me that "cylinder was scored and had a bad carburetor and that it would cost $400 to repair or they have some great new ones on sale for $199", odd huh? I knew this could not be true as it is not a very old weedeater and it is rarely used. So... I had a friend of mine look at it that is in an expert at small engines and he noticed that the leak was coming from a line that was not inserted into the gas tank properly. My guy got it fixed in under 2 minutes of looking at it for $10. It runs great again!! Now, this company does not want to give my money back that they charged me for their "estimate fee", if they would have been able to even notice where the leak was coming from I could see it being justified but their mechanics could not even diagnose the smallest of issues, either that or they are trained to rip people off by telling customers that it will be a super high price but then tell you about their specials at the same time..SHADY!!! I will be reporting this company to the BBB. Horrible business practices and horrible customer service all the way around! The woman I spoke with on the phone even hung up on me for no reason!!! These people are just plain rude and obviously incompetent to say the least. UPDATE: The owner of this store ******* called and was very apologetic about this issue and I was informed that they were speaking of a chainsaw, not my weedeater, which actually makes things **** times worse, these people do not know the difference in a weedeater or a chainsaw. People, be smart, go anywhere else but this place.
