Since 2020, I have been a repeat and loyal customer of contractor *****************************, owner of A-One Professional Services. ****************** had been reliable, fair and courteous, and I was generally pleased with his work as I booked him for many projects. On or about 5/22/23, ****************** replaced wooden stair treads and risers for three front porch steps and installed two new wood posts. He quoted $200 for the front porch, installing four wire closet shelves, and a plumbing repair. I paid ****************** $300, generously overpaying his quoted price as I normally did so. Within days, two of the closet shelves collapsed and pulled away from the wall. ****************** had done a great job on previous projects, so I was disappointed in the quality of his work. After his family vacation, he returned to temporarily secure the shelves. On 9/30/23, I then noticed the front porch left railing was pulling away from the post. The railing now has a large split, and the nails/screws are not properly anchored. There is a sizable gap between the railing and post (attached). On 9/30/23, I sent a text (with photos) to ****************** requesting repair. I also presented the option to be reimbursed for the amount that I have to pay a new contractor who will inspect ******************** work and make the necessary repairs on 10/28/23. ****************** has not responded, and it is not in my best interests to hire ****************** for future projects as I feel that I can no longer trust him or the quality of his work. I am requesting that ****************** reimburse me for necessary repairs (including supplies and labor) within 14 days of my emailing a receipt/paid invoice to him. I request that ****************** reimburses me via Zelle and email the payment confirmation page. I tried to locate an alternative address or phone number for ****************** at the Georgia Secretary of State website. No business information was found. However, I found ********************** 5/23 post on Nextdoor (attached), and his ************* were unchanged.
