12/09/23 $19,412.73. This vehicle was financed and I was told there was zero problems with the vehicle. It turns out a few weeks later the vehicle is showing a oil light so I took it in and they told me to drive the vehicle for another 1,000 miles and bring it back to check again. Well the issue got worst and when going to Atlanta, Ga the vehicle started shaking and rattling and epc light and engine light showed up, so I called the agent that sold me the vehicle and he told me well we can return but we can trade but bring it in to check the vehicle. Turns out the motor needs to be replaced and warranty won’t fix the problem. The trade in value I was told was 8,000 -8,500. This is not nearly half of all the damages this business has caused me.I don’t have a car and just want to cancel this contract because this isn’t right and it’s a shame on a business to do this to people.

We traded for Mr. ********* Volkswagen 12/06/2023. Went through our service department the next day. We spent $1,378.09 on different repairs, Oil change, brakes, filter, new bulbs and a shifter connector. Our Mechanics didn't find anything at that time in relation to what’s going on at the moment! Customer had the vehicle for a couple of weeks before he reported the problem to us. Once he brought it in we asked Mr. ******* to drive the car about 1,000 miles so we could see what was going on. He was heading to Atlanta as he stated and had over 2,000 miles on it when it started to shake and rattle which was from it having low oil, turns out it was having an oil consumption issue. The main reason we wanted him to only drive 1,000 miles was just in case that was the problem it wouldn’t hurt the engine. We told Mr. ******* that we would help him any way that we could, give him above trade in value and put him in something else. If he is interested in keeping the vehicle and fixing the problem we will work with him and the cost. If any time we trade for a vehicle and it has any issues that are beyond what we can afford to fix and resell, it goes straight to the Auction. We don’t want these types of issues from our customers. We would never sell a vehicle knowing there is a problem. NEVER

I am rejecting this response because:  vehicle has been having problems ever since we got the vehicle. Vehicle never went over 2,000 miles it only went over a few hundred miles over 1,000 miles. There is no honesty or trust I can obtain from this business and are they not representing the consumer but their pockets. This shows how nasty they will get to try to get their way and unfortunately my poor mother in law from the Philippines has paid money for a vehicle that does not function properly. I just want to reiterate how disappointed I am. I was definitely sold a broken vehicle. Otherwise oil lights would have not showed up at two weeks after purchase. If a business can’t be trusted than it shouldn’t be in business. My only resolution would be to get out of this junk I was sold because if I would have known that the vehicle would have these problems why would I purchase the vehicle. TREAT YOUR  CUSTOMERS RIGHT AND YOUR MAIN PRIORITY, I WOULDN’T BE RESPONDING BACK IF I WASNT RIGHT ABOUT WHAT IM SAYING. Shame on Nissan of Dalton, do better. Mind you vehicle was purchased on the 9th of December 2023 and first problem started on the 26th of December 2023. As I was born and raised in the United States, I was always under the impression that Nissan had a great reputation, its very sad to learn that this one location reflects poorly on the company as a whole, specially after going to their reviews and seeing that I’m not the only victim of their lies and deceit. Unfortunately my poor mother in law in that arrived in this country a year ago from Philippines and is paid $10 an hour has been lied and cheated to by Nissan of Dalton. If I regret anything, it would be not reading the reviews prior to coming here and letting them affect my family so negatively. I hope this can get to corporate eyes, as I’m sure they wouldn’t agree of how this location treats clients. In addition to this horrific situation, not only have I been lied to, but they are making false statements, and they have had their representatives calling me every other day to “negotiate” or try to bring me back in to refinance for a more expensive vehicle, it is absolutely absurd to think we would have to continue business with you after selling us a DEFECTIVE VEHICLE. My mother in law is traumatized by this experience and I don’t plan to purchase a car from this place ever again.

      Sincerely,

      *********** *******

We would never sell a vehicle that we know is having a problem! We understand things can happen and like I said in my last statement, we want to help! If they’re willing to have the car fixed, we will help with the cost. If they would like to trade, we will do all we can to help with getting them into another vehicle.

      Thank you

Date of Service: 07/17/2023 Issue: Took car in for simple maintenance check and ended up picking up a car with a CHECK ENGINE light. The car did not have one before dropping it off. This is unacceptable and will be investigated. Running test on an OBD-II system does not trigger a check engine. Symptoms over time is what alerts the OBD-II and triggers a light. Something was done to my car by an employee and I would like to investigate further.

The vehicle was brought to our facility with a complaint by the customer of "Customer states lagging with hard shift please check and advise". After diagnosis our technician stated.

"TEST DROVE VEHICLED AND CONFIRMED CUSTOMERS CONCERN. CHECKED
DTCS FOUND TRANSMISSION CODE P0868. FOLLOWED DIAGNOSTIC FLOW CHART AND
USED CONSULT TO MONITOR FLUID PRESSURE. FOUND THE CVT TO HAVE INTERNAL
FAILURE CAUSING LOW CVT FLUID PRESSURE RECOMMEND REPLACEMENT OF CVT
      ASSEMBLY"

The customer's vehicle does have an internal transmission issue that could cause a check engine light. I would be glad to reinspect the customer's vehicle at no charge to them to see if there is a new problem or if the check engine light is on due to the transmission issue.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: The business did not address the check engine light concern in question. There was no check engine light displayed when the vehicle was dropped off. PERIOD! Unless the check engine light was off and on when pickup your responsible. Upon pickup there is new Check Engine light as if the vehicle had been tampered with. We have already received a 2nd opinion from next town over Nissan dealership. They indicated that someone tampered with the wiring harnesses causing the codes to be populated most likely on purpose as they did test and see no issue with components. They inspected and found that the CVT needs a new solenoid and sensor after they performed the correct troubleshoot per Nissan DTCs. This is a far cry from the COMPLETE transmission replacement $7700+ that Nissan of Dalton said I needed. We were also informed that the *********** ****** dealership does get a lot of complaints from the Dalton location "Separate Owners". We have asked Nissan corporate to look into this Dalton location as well. We will be getting followup call today from Nissan corporate.

At this point we request a full refund of the Diagnostic fees that Dalton Nissan charged as they did not perform the proper troubleshoot and acted in a non-professional manner trying to upsell services. We have also contacted the owner of MNT View as I have a great relationship with the MNT View Dodge dealership for many years. I expect an audit of the staff and their activities to be performed due to the numerous complaints.

We will be expecting a refund asap. Escalations further will proceed if not addressed quickly.

      Sincerely,

I apologize for any confusion with the diagnosis of your vehicle during your recent visit and will be sending a refund for the diagnosis charge to the address that we have on file. It's not common that we get complaints like this regarding our service department. I can assure you that the technician that worked on your vehicle did not tamper with your vehicle. Your vehicle is a 2011 model with 130,000 miles, issues will arise.
