      We are writing to bring Dekalb Farmers Market managements awareness and convey our most profound concern about the ********** Communist Party(***) flag you hang in your store at ********************************************************************************. *** flag has become one of the most potent hate/terror symbols for ********** *********, like the **** Flag for the Jews. The flag is a symbol that brought back many horrifying memories, including the blood debt done by the **** which was responsible for the Genocide of =~ 4.2 Million ********** lives at the start of the *** formulation and beyond the ******** war. Please take the *** flag down or replace it with the South ******** flag, consisting of a yellow background with three red horizontal stripes through the middle.More detail see petition here: **************************

      I pre-ordered flowers in bulk on September 8. The attendant handed me an order form and had me fill in the flowers requested, quantity, and price on the form. I signed for the form and the total price was $360. I returned to pick up the order and was informed that the price of the flowers was now higher and that I needed to pay about $70 more than the agreed upon price which was noted in the order form. I spoke to the attendant who served me that day. I spoke with both floral department managers, and the cashier supervisor. No one was willing to honor the price. In fact, they started acting as if my discomfort with the change was the problem. The floral attendant followed me and my party to the cash register where she proceeded to rough handle my flowers in the cart, specifically told the cashier to charge us the current rate and NOT to honor the order form, and then proceeded to call over a security guard to hover over us during checkout making us feel threatened by their staff. I couldn't believe that they were treating me and my sister's that way. We continuously told them that we didn't appreciate this treatment and that we really wanted to just buy the flowers and leave at that point. We were harassed by jo **** than 9 employees during a 1 hour period. It's bad enough that English is many of the staff's second language, but it was incredibly disrespectful of them to have whole conversations in front of us in another language. The order form says that payment should be made the day of the order but the floral attendant deliberately told us not to pay on September 8. Now it's September 23 and the price has increased by $70 and it seems like a policy scam. None of them were willing to talk through a solution. No manager even recorded the complaint. It definitely seems as though this is how they scam customers regularly in the floral department. Do not buy from here.

      Dekalb Farmers Market On July 1, 2022 at 5:30PM, myself and 2 friends visited the Dekalb ******** Market. My friends was accompanied by her service dog, which had a vest identifying it as such. As soon as we stepped in, the officer in charge - ******, stopped us and said that the animal was not allowed into the market. We explained that it was a service animal and he responded harshly that her dog was not a service animal. My friend tried to show him the documents proving her guide dog's certification and identification as a service animal, however ****** refused to look at the documentation and continued to claim that this was not a service animal. From the very start, ****** was aggressive and disrespectful to our group, and he continued to raise his voice at us. He was unwilling to listen at all and did not even look at any of our documents. He simply continued to repeat that her dog was not a service animal and then demanded to know what disability she had. We told him it was in violation on the *** to ask such questions, and he simply walked away from us and said that we wouldn't be able to check out. When we asked him what he needed, he just walked away again. The dog was extremely well behaved and did not bark/misbehave in any way, in fact we got several compliments on her behavior from other customers. We proceeded to shop for an hour and a half and then were refused service when we attempted to check out. There was another employee - *******, who, upon hearing of the incident, agreed with ****** and said that they were within their rights to refuse us service and we would not be able to check out. He then proceeded to take our cart from us. We asked to speak with a manager, and were told that there was no manager on premises and the only thing we could do was file a customer complaint. We proceeded to do so that day, and we left the store without our purchases. The entire episode was humiliating and upsetting to my friend.

      Like ******* S said. Don't try to take a service dog into this store. Security hit me at the door and ushered us out, as soon as we walked in. Security guy had no idea of my rights and refused entry even after I showed him training documents and training tests showing that my dog had passed all training requirements. She was quietly doing her job and standing next to me when he approached me and started the harassment. I was so shocked and mortified.

      If you have a disability DO NOT GO HERE! I entered with my service animal and was told she wasnt allowed in. I asked for a manager and they refused to get one. I am disabled and my dog is perfectly trained snd was not misbehaving in any way.I ignored them and went on to get 15 turkey thighs and they refused to check me out. All because these two bullies in security uniforms have an issue with service animals.I have filed complaints with the market, and with the state attorney generals office. and the ***** I dont expect them to do anything but I am sure this has happened to others, so if they get enough complaints maybe they will investigate.In the meantime...stay away, ****** Highway Farmers market is just as good and they treated me with respect and kindness.
