On Wednesday August 10th I paid the contractor, ***************************** ****** a deposit to repair my exterior side entry door frame to my garage, and was required to pay the remaining balance of $189 after repairs were completed. On August 13th he arrived and started the repairs. I informed the him I was going to be president during the time of repair, but would return shortly after. I recieved a call from the contractor stating that the repairs were complete and he would send the amount of the remaining balance. While I was out I made sure to send the remaining balance of ******, only to find that the repaires on my door were not completed, the door that was being repaired but was left opened, and was damaged and would not close. I contacted the contractor by phone and stated that my door would not close, was damaged/nonfunctional and that the repairs were not complete per the invoice I was sent, not to mention he charged me and additional $75 to stabilize the door by cutting a board of wood that was currently in my garage and sticking them in the side of the door. The contractor asked me to send pictures of the incomplete work. After reviewing the photos he stated that he would come back to fix the door, but would not complete the work that was stated in the invoice. He insisted the portion of the door that wasnt repaired was the casing, and stated that he didnt charge to fix the casing. Fortunately I got a second opinion and had a professional contractor come out to look over the job, and he informed me that the portion of the door that wasnt repaired was the jamb frame, which was what I was charged for in my invoice. After arriving and attempting to fix the door he stated the door frame was messed up, and that I needed to repair it. He stated that he repaired everything in the invoice, however the photos and videos that I took before and after proved other wise. I find it odd that while the repairs where being done that the door frame was never mentioned
