Purchased a vehicle from Americar on 2/1/2022. Owner of Americar informed me he had driven the vehicle himself for the past several months, and had also installed a battery within the last several months. Within one week of having purchased the vehicle I spent over $600 replacing the refurbished battery that had been installed, and also had the vehicle inspected by an auto. shop, who found a host of issues. I informed the dealer nine days after having purchased the vehicle, which was two days after having it inspected. I was advised to allow the dealer's mechanic to look over the vehicle, which I did, and a week after having the vehicle, the dealer called to inform me nothing wrong could be found. I had the vehicle inspected again, at a different auto. shop and again a host of issues-some related to the initial problems found-were discovered. I advised the dealer of these new findings, and the dealer still claimed everything was "good" with the vehicle. To date, the dealer has made no viable offers to make up for monies already spent-such as refunding a significant portion of the down payment or my cost for replacing the refurbished battery he installed-or for monies contemplated on being spent.
