My vehicle repair was done improperly and caused further damage and requires additional repairs . The shop is denying that they caused the damages. I have paid and my car is still inoperable.Initial Complaint

On 11/13/23 My 2014 GMC Acadia was dropped off to have a transmission issue diagnosed. After 4 days of me having to call to see if they found any issues, they finally said "It looks like your going to need a new or atleat a rebuild" Then they emailed me a document that says I need to approve and give them $1500.00 so they can put me on the schedule. They had the money the next morning. For 3 weeks I kept repeatedly hearing "we will start on your car tomorrow ". On Dec 1st When I went to the facility my car appeared to have never been touched. Everything was in tact the way I dropped it off .The manager then stated the the technician ******* only works every other Fri and that they didn't have any parts for my vehicle. So I assume they just guessed that I needed a rebuild and took $1500 of my money and I clearly was not on a schedule. The fact that I drove my car away from there tells me that you didn't order any parts because you never took it apart to see what was needed. I took my car to another shop and had a NEW transmission installed in 7 days for 2k less than the quote from Aamco. I would like my money back.Initial Complaint

October 18, 2022 Amount of money paid ******** for a transmission replacement. First time I took my car to Aamco 10/18/2022 The repair was complete on 11/1/2022 I was having problems with my car. I notice my check engine light was on and when I press on the gas pedal it was sticking to the floor. Also, when I stopped at the traffic light when I press on the gas pedal my car started jerking. I took my car to ****** South to have a diagnostic test on my car. The report from the diagnostic test stated I need a transmission because the transmission Aamco put in my car was defected. I took my car back to Aamco 11/15/2022 spoke to the service advisor ***************************** about diagnostic test I also had the invoice which stated what was found. The amount I paid for the diagnostic test was ******. Aamco kept my car in their lot for 3 weeks. They informed me that they would replace the transmission with another one. The service was complete on 12/9/2022. On 12/17/2022 my car wouldn't go into drive it only goes in reverse again my car still isn't fix. I will have them to tow my car to their shop 12/19/2022. Payment of ******** was made on Aamco credit card the remaining balance was paid on **** debit card in the amount of ********. Aamco didn't replace my transmission at all they sent the defected transmission out to be repaired. According to their warranty they don't give you a rental. This situation with Aamco has been an inconvenienced in every way possible along with this has been very frustrating. I want to be compensated for the rental I had to get and the diagnostic test. I also reported them to the corporate office which I got no help. I can't stress enough this has been going on to long.
