Please help! This senior retirement community is committing fraud. The management company called Fortress placed a Noticed in ALL residents doors on 04/26/2023. The Notice is indicating that the residents can pay their rent payments online by providing their bank routing and account number. Also, residents can pay their rent at a local grocery store using their resident id. We selected the option to pay rent payments using at a local grocery store using the resident id. However, the leasing office manager Ms. ****************** never provided the resident information and is trying to force seniors to pay their rent using their bank account information or debit card, which causes the seniors to pay high processing fees that could be used toward other high bills. *************************** and the regional manager of Fortress is rude, unprofessional with threatening actions. They submitted this Notice on 04/26/24 to go in effect on 05/01/2023. Clearly indicating that the company will not disregard late fees. This company is intentionally ripping off seniors. They were recently investigated for charging seniors full rent prices while along some of the residents were under Subsidized income Leases. I am requesting for help with this issue please.
