Hello, on February 22nd, 2024 I made a purchase to Tier 1 Auto Sales in the amount of $2,400. I bought a 2018 **** Focus (VIN number: *****************) and United Auto Credit is the loan company. I was under the impression that it was in good condition and that the amenities worked. When I first went to the dealership ***, their associate, showed me the car and I test drove the vehicle and came back and told them that the vehicle was driving weird. *** ended up getting in to the vehicle and drove around and assured me that it was a dual transmission and basically it wasnt going to drive like other cars. To make a long story short, my horn stopped working after a few days and I sent them an email showing them videos, I also had a check engine light and oil change light on within a week of having the vehicle. When I tried to speak to them and told them the problems with the vehicle they brushed it off and turned off the code that showed up on the dashboard. They didn't even address the horn. So after they told me there was nothing wrong a couple days went by and the car started sputtering and I called them and they continued to say that there was nothing wrong but thanks to my warranty I was able to take it to a **** Dealership where they could figure out what was wrong on March 16, 2024. They found that there was something wrong with a part of the transmission and the repairs came up to $3,684.01. I didnt have possession of the vehicle for weeks because of it. I also had to pay $165.67 out of pocket for the repairs. I told them that I didnt want the vehicle anymore and instead of taking it when I offered they ignored my calls and did not respond to my email then took the car from my job without me knowing. I asked them to refund my money but he said he could only refinance me with the same vehicle and it wouldnt even be guaranteed. The account is also not on my credit and I havent been penalized just shorted out of my money.

My name is *************************. This is to certify that on Tuesday April 16th, I purchased a 2005 **** F-150 from the dealership Tier1AutoSales LLC in **************. As I was driving the vehicle home, I started to hear a noise coming from under the truck. I immediately called the dealership and told them what was occurring. They said all they could contribute was $200 towards the catalytic converter damage. I told **********, my sales person, that I was not bringing the vehicle back up to the dealership due to me living 80 miles one way, and I didn't think my truck would make it back to the dealership. *** said to have it towed, but I would have to pay for it from my insurance. Once the catalytic converter was done, the noise the truck was making before, didn't go away. I took the vehicle to several mechanics. The diagnostic test said it is coming from the wheel barren and fly wheel which seems to be broken. They will have to take the transmission down to do the work. The truck is at the mechanic shop now. I asked ********** if the transmission was ok before I purchased it and he said yes. With all that I have gone through, I do not advise anyone to purchase any vehicle from Tier1AutoSales LLC. They are not Reliable and they do not honor their vehicles or customers. I am paying $13,000 for this truck. Repairs for the catalyst converter was $500. The mechanic is quoting a tentative amount of $800 for the Fly Wheel repairs, because they have to wait until they take the transmission down to see what the damages really are. I will have to take it to another mechanic to have the wheel barren done. I feel that the dealership should help in these repairs since I just purchased the vehicle even though it is SOLD AS IS.

On 06/16/2023 I bought a 2015 ****** WRX ($ *****) from Tier1 auto sales *********** ** , it was an online purchase and they delivered to my apartment after 4 days. That's the 1st time I saw the car. I bought the car through online because the promises this company give me plus 90 days / 3000 miles full cover powertrain warranty from another company included , to me that seems like very legit . After a week later ( I only put 140 miles) , Engine lights on and car hardly move so I called the TIer1 people & explained the issue . They instruct me to call insurance company and I did and I towed ($ 250) my car to ****** service center in Columbus. After 1 week later ****** team informed me that turbo charger is been broken and the estimate was around $4000k also added that powertrain warranty does not cover diagnosis fees and turbo charger . I called again Tier1 people ( ************ , took days to answer my calls ) Finally I talk with ***** (business partner ) inform the situation and he told me that company never going to pay ****** $ 4000 to fix the car but he offer me that send the car back to them and company will fix it for no charge I said okay . ****** at Columbus end up charge me $ 700 dollars for diagnosis & labor then I towed ($250) my car back to *********** , ** And After 1 week later ***** from Tier1 informed me that engine is blown and I have to take the car back and try with insurance . I listen every thing patiently & told ***** that please return my money you can have your car and he replied " we doing business ********* here for money , Once it sold then that's not our problem . I towed ($250) my car back to my town and put in local ************** estimate is $ 10k !! Transaction Date: 10/31/2022 - Approx. 11:03 AM EST I reached out to Tier 1 Auto Sales LLC regarding a 05 **** F150 Vin:*****************, went over some general questions regarding the vehicle and asked if they would take $9,500 for the truck, to which I was told and I quote "We don't usually negotiate over the phone, but yea we can do that". So I said okay I'll be over on 11/1/2022 to look the truck over and purchase, they then said well we have a bunch of appointments on the truck and would need a deposit to hold for you - (All they said regarding the deposit). Now they will tell you that there policy is to disclose that the deposit is Non-refundable or Transferable to another vehicle, but that did not happen and at Approx 7:41 PM EST (8hrs 38 mins) after the deposit I received a receipt that was was printed at 3:55 PM EST (4 hrs 52 mins) after the deposit and it did say that the deposit was Non-refundable. No word of that was spoken prior to the receipt and nowhere on their website does it state that. After spend 4 hours driving on 11/1/2022 (2hrs there and 2hrs back). The truck was 100% false advertised and was junk, with rust eating at the frame and a whole slue of other issues. I politely asked for a refund and was brushed off, so now I am seeking the refund in alternate ways. I have screenshots depicting times of the transactions and time of receipt. This is a highly incompetent bunch of liars and thieves and they need to be stopped. They photoshop the vehicles to look extremely clean, but in person they are 100% junk. The truck I looked at isn't road worthy and they should not even be allowed to sell that vehicle to anyone. Someone with authority over vehicles should be sent out to look over that truck and deem it un-drivable. Please reach out to me and help me so that they can be stopped from scamming others. I will provide evidence of transactions below, I was appalled by the truck I did not think to take pictures on site.Truck does not look as pics below

I am filing a consumer complaint against Tier 1 Auto Sales because of the egregious and sexually harassing behavior that I have suffered from October 4, 2022, to the present. On August 4, 2022, I moved from ***********, **, to **********************************************************************. Because I was pursuing work in the ******* area, I assumed a AAA Auto Loan for $10,000. After researching several local car dealerships, based on Tier 1s website and their commitment to superior customer service, I felt that their organization would be the best place to spend my financed car allotment. On September 13- I purchased a 2012 ***** 3 from Tier 1 Auto Sales LLC. *** the salesman assured me that all items on the car were in operable condition and that there was nothing on the car that needed repair. He also stated that they would gladly repair and replace whatever parts were faulty if anything happened with the car after I drove the car. Three weeks later, as I was going to church, the car would not get into gear, and there was a burning smell. I was stranded on the side of the road and luckily, a gentleman in the area came out of his home to assist me. The gentleman indicated that from what he could see and his experience with a manual shift, the clutch appeared bad. At this time, I contacted Tier 1 Auto Sales, and they told me that they were sorry and will fix at their expense. After speaking with Tier 1, on the evening of October 1, 2022, I had the car towed by AAA back to my apartment and placed in my assigned parking spot. ***, the car salesman from Tier 1, said they would pick up the car and have it towed to their facility. *** assured me that they would diagnose the issue and fix and replace the defective part at no expense to me. My car sat in my assigned parking space at my apartment because Tier 1 Auto Sales did not send a tow driver as promised. After not hearing from Tier 1 Auto Sales on October 3 at I had the ***** towed to Tier 1 at my expense so they could diagnose and re

Not to mention how ungrateful a customer could be,  she is straight lying through her teeth, non of the statements she said are nearly related, here is exactly what happened, she came and purchased a car without a test drive, she could and we asked her to, but nobody is responsible for someone else's low IQ level. She does not know how to drive manual. She killed the car twice on the way within the 30 feet to the gate, This is very funny since she has no clue what sexual harassments mean. No one wanted to contact her back because of her attitude and her just talking like demanding and at last when she was spoken to and realized just because she can not operate a manual gear vehicle she cant take out that anger on others, she burst crying and begged for help on  the phone. In addition to that, she had this funny voiced man called acting as her attorney, story gets funnier since as soon as we asked which attorney office, she unmute the other line on a 3 way which we had no idea she is also on t he phone. "VERY VERY SHADY AND SNEAKY ". Not so much heard from the "try-to-be" attorney ever since.

We paid to get her car back, bought a brand new clutch which as per our agreement which she was supposed to pay and of course like everything else she said in this complaint "A BIG LIE", so of course we would try return but we couldnt since she said she would not pay after that time period, so stuck with that too and it was $700 dollars money she costed our company. Towing her car to her place was another $280. So yes, very ungrateful, very dishonest, and there is absolutely no way we even want her here ever again. If she decided to cause more problems we will have our attorney deal with her lies.

      Sincerely,

      Tier 1 Auto Sales LLC

I am rejecting this response because: The statements provided by Tier 1 Auto Sales are inaccurate, fabricated, and full of untrue statements. I have email correspondence, a recording, and text messages to back up the sexual harassment,  AND **** offered me money, along with the owner if I would retract my BBB complaint. I have two credible witnesses to who I  will be submitting statements. In fact, it was the mechanic  **** and his girlfriend that delivered my car after midnight. He kept a mask around his face, but i recognized his voice from many conversations. 31 days later, after Tier 1 Auto Sales promised they would fix the mechanical issues. Who in their right mind would purchase an almost ****** dollar car " Stick Shift" and not know how to drive it? I've been driving a stick shift for over 35 years! Tier 1 Auto Sales told me " The vehicle was in perfect running condition in accordance with the carfax. And, I should have followed my gut instincts upon arrival, the car was filthy dirty! with no fuel. I questioned about the tires, last oil change, and any engine lights when was the clutch serviced. I was told and assured by the Sales Manager ******, and Sales Agent **** that the clutch was newly replaced. I drove the car less than 30 miles. had the car only 2 weeks. When the car broke down, I immediately called the sales Manager, Sales Associate who sold me the Lemon. I was told by **** " I'm sorry, we will fix it because I did not drive the car past the lemon law". Also, I did not cry, beg, or plead. I commanded integrity, honesty, excellence, and excellent customer service, which is OUR CONSUMER'S RIGHT!  I was told I would have my vehicle back in 3 days. Every time, I called it was a different excuse. And, Or they would LIE, Not return calls, and block my number,  it was a NIGHTMARE!  I had to get advocacy assistance from My Neighbor, who is well versed in mechanical issues, and to speak on my behalf due to the stress, and run around.. They told him they were waiting on parts, and also accused me of burning out the clutch. Again, my neigbhor was absolutely beside himself and appalled by the lies, and told ****** that 2o miles will not burn out a clutch and stated to ****** "theyre designed to last at least 50,000 miles!".
and he addressed inappropriate emails and after-hour calls. ******, Stated  " I was probably flirting and it was my fault,"  I problem asked for it!!!  And, promised the part was in route and I would get the car within 2 days. I told ************, *****, and ****, I had just obtained a new job that required me to have a vehicle. they promised i would have the car in time before I was scheduled to report! after  I called my ************************** to ask for an onbarding exstention, I explained the devastating, hardship I was under trying to obtain my vehicle. they gave me a two-week grace ************* Unfortunately, I lost a high-paying position!  You CAN'T HIDE BEHIND NO WARRANTY- TIER 1 AUTO SALES ARE UNPROFESSIONAL CROOKS! Also to add I called Consumer affairs and they advised me to call the authorities, file a complaint, and have all parties arrested! So You Want to call your lawyer! then go ahead. Let's GO! ALSO to correct! Your statement about me having someone call to pretend they were my lawyer! UNTRUTH! YOU WERE AWARE I HAD AN ADVOCATE TALKING TO YOU! BECAUSE OF THE LIES! YOU ALL TRIED TO BULLY ME! KEPT MY CAR, AND THREATENED ME WITH STORAGE FEES! WHO DOSE THAT? OH YEAH, TIER 1 AUTO SALES " THIEVES"!   I'm willing to work out a fair deal! or I will SEE YOU IN COURT! To add to my complaint! when I finally got my car back! it was damaged! I called ****** and reported the damages! AGAIN! they did not want to take responsibility! I have before and after pictures

      Sincerely,

At this point,  we as the company think she might have some other mental disorders since she's just making stories up. She can no longer step on our property and why waste our time on the phone with someone who doesn't understand a word and just wants to cry all day long?

Yes *****, get a lawyer and see us in court, you are truly a waste of time to talk to in person and on the phone, truly someone who would not mind to scam on small businesses and more than all just ungrateful.  YES YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A MANUAL CAR, 35 YEARS OR **** YEARS, YOU JUST DO NOT KNOW HOW TO OPERATE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION, AND MAYBE NEXT TIME DO NOT BUY SOMETHING YOU CANT EITHER AFFORD OR DRIVE. (She killed the car on the way out of the lot like multiple times). You do not need to hide the fact that its fine not everyone can drive a manual transmission, some people can, but you CANT, stop lying too much even to yourself

I seriously do not know what else I need to put here, to a long message which 85% of it its just probably imaginary fantasies of whatever *****'s Mind goes through on a daily basis, no clue, Its just fabricating stories that go nowhere.

I am rejecting this response because: I reject the response under the clear determination and proven fact and statement displayed By Tier 1 Auto Sales. the unconscionable, consumer disrespect, unprofessionalism, demeaning statements, uncouth integrity, and character are clearly displayed and remotely obvious; and prove not just my complaint concerning the injustice, and fabrications, Most importantly the alignment with previous consumer complaints filed against this  Tier 1 Auto Dealership. Furthermore, their foul charters, befooling, poor integrity have just been unveiled. The injustice is displayed before the consumer world to judge. I've vindicated the consumers who have suffered at the hands of this Tier 1 Auto dealership, and the unfair practices will be addressed.  For the record. I have received several disheartening, and concerning, text messages from **** the mechanic " Keep My Name Out of Your Mouth" ... I close with this final response. I'm asking that the BBB will display this complaint as visible for all to read. Purchase at your own risk! I will move forward with legal action.

Bought a 2010 **** Mustang from them. I didnt even drive 100 miles before the engine light came on and steering wheel started to shake. Took it to their mechanic and he advised me and them that the car shouldnt have been sold off the lot, not only was it not in driving condition but I could have possibly got into a car accident due to the differential being messed up. I asked for them to fix the vehicle I was willing to keep it but they didnt want to, also gave me a horrible warranty that only was willing to fix 35%.

Vehicle was purchased on July 22nd 2022 "AS IS" from the seller (Tier 1 Auto Sales). Customer (***** *****) was fully aware of the vehicle being purchased as is and willingly agreed to move on and was charged for the warranty, not given one. Unfortunately, we are declining any claims made by "***** *****" since based on the contract that was both signed between her (buyer) and "Tier 1 Auto Sales" (seller) that unit was purchased as is and all repairs, maintenance are the buyer's responsibility.

Bought a car from Tier 1 Auto Sales in Gainesville. Used to be Browns Bridge Rd but they are now on 308 Atlanta Hwy in Gainesville. The 2006 Honda CRV was advertised on Carfax Dealers as clean carfax (what it has), passed emissions, clean and in good shape. It looks good on the outside. They gave us a basic warranty with the car for 3 months. It looks great on the outside and inside, with some problems noticed with needing new breaks and a possibly loose exhaust pipe. Allegedly a mechanic looked over it to ensure it was ok after I left for a business appointment and before my husband and son picked it up. When my husband drove the car home to Roswell, he noticed bigger issues once on the freeway, seemed like a suspension problem or wheel attachment problem. A trip to Honda Carland for a recall and to see what needs to be done revealed that the car is completely rusty underneath on the inside. The attached photos are from a video taken by the Honda Carland mechanic. The drive shaft, struts, exhaust system are not safe to drive with. The 6500 dollar plus tax and fee car would need a XXXXX dollar rebuild. We took it to an experienced independent mechanic who confirmed the same, the frame is not ok, and his shop will not touch the car. Both Honda and the independent mechanic confirmed that this car should not have been sold as a road safe or drivable car. Neither mechanic understands how the car could pass the emissions test in that condition, as it did. (Bribe?) We are out 7500 total for a car that cannot be fixed and the dealership does not care. Honda and the independent mechanic found the sales practice unethical and dangerous considering the condition of the vehicle and recommended a return of the car for refund as it is not what it was sold as - a drivable car. Two conversations (plus one after the Honda Carland visit when we were thinking Honda is overreacting) with Tier 1 have led to no call back or willingness to solve this issue.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/09) */ As per our documents show, the customer purchased the unit AS IS, willingly after the test drive. We have all documents signed by her and the dealership. Customer drove the car more than 15 minutes and test drove without any complaints she paid for the vehicle. We have a clean Carfax on file and if she has any issues with that she can contact Carfax and make a claim. 2006 Honda CR-V came with a current Georgia Emission and Inspection done by Courtesy Emission in Suwannee GA. Stating that we bribed to get emission is a very intense accusation and hope she is able to prove that in court (if it needs to) because we will use it against her since she has no proof of what she is stating. This client seems very polite in writing but every single time she has made contact over the phone, we have not been able to communicate because of her attitude. We will NOT return the car as we do not have a return policy, she made a purchase AS IS, however we will be more than happy to help her trade in the car and will pay the trade in value. For further assistance she may contact the office and ask for Alex but only this time we would love an opportunity to talk as well, to proceed with the trading in her Honda Cr-v if she would like to. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/11/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I called Tier 1 politely twice. I even told them that I assume they were not aware of the damage as they don't have a full shop and got the car from an auction. The first time I called, I spoke with the gentleman in the finance office as Greg was not available and there was no attitude but an explanation of the findings, naturally expressing my disappointment, asking him to ask Greg for a call back. My next call a day or two later referred to that phone conversation and Greg let me know that he never received the message from his colleague. I asked for a callback (politely) after discussing the situation internally but did not receive one again. All I asked is for a discussion on their side and how to proceed, and to call me back. If that is perceived as attitude, these two gentlemen have a problem with customer service. As for emissions, the exhaust system hs a leak and the mechanics that saw the car brought the question up how it could pass. Maybe the car was lucky. I am not willing to do any more business with Tier 1 as it looks from reviews that I am not the only one who got a lemon from them. As we have the statement from Honda Carland that fixing the damage that is not visible from the outside is XXXXX dollars and up at Honda, even if less at an independent mechanic, I am considering selling the car off for parts. To cover the loss, I suggest as an alternative to a return to reimburse some of the purchasing price. I have been buying used cars for over 20 years and have not encountered such before. Next time I will stick with a reputable dealership again. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/11/11) */ Dear ********, We are truly sorry that you are not happy with your purchase. Unfortunately we don't have a return policy for all our customers as we mentioned earlier as well. We can buy back the car but at trade in value ONLY. Again we are truly sorry that you didn't have a pleasant experience with doing business with us. We will be happy to assist you in future in getting any parts, or mechanical work. You are always welcome to stop by and discuss about your trade in or if you need any help. We want to have a better relationship with our customers than just chatting indirectly. Wish you best of luck. Consumer Response /* (2000, 11, 2021/11/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Good morning, thank you for your response. We are going to contact you directly tomorrow, Monday November 22nd, to discuss coming by to trade the car in.

BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this business, please let the business know that you contacted BBB for a BBB Business Profile.
