On April 13, 2021, I met with Kirk Blackmon and agreed for him to construct a sunroom on my residence. I paid him a substantial deposit, with the understanding he would begin construction within 6 weeks. He did not begin until October, 6 months later. He built a shell of a sunroom and then asked for a second deposit to order windows with. He still had not put on shingles on the roof, built the stairway to the deck, replaced the supporting posts, or even removed the debris from all over the yard. He promised that within the next few days, his crew would complete that work. One day after I paid him the second deposit, he pulled the crew off my job with everything still unfinished. He eventually sent the crew to clean up the job site. He said the windows could *********** weeks to be built. That was on Oct. 24. He does not answer my messages. When it rains, water pours through the roof onto the decking. The supports to the deck are not to code and are unsafe. There are no guard rails on the deck so they pose a hazard to my grandchildren who could fall off.

I signed a contractual agreement with Kirk Blackmon, owner of Georgia Sunroom, on May 16, ******************************************************* a Sunroom addition to my home at the address shown above. On the day of the signed agreement, I gave Kirk Blackmon $******** deposit. The agreed upon completion date was July 4, 2021.For months after the signed agreement, I made several phone calls, sent e-mails, and text messages to Kirk Blackmon inquiring as to when me would start building my room. Some of my efforts to reach out to him were totally ignored and the very few replies were answered with one inexcusable excuse after another. Beginning July 20, 2021, I requested several times to receive a refund but he said he had ordered my building materials and expected them to be delivered in any day.On Sept 14, and 23, I received building materials to my home. Construction began on Oct 1, 2021. On Oct 16, 2022, I paid Mr. ********************** another $********. The next day on Oct 17, Mr. **********************'s workers completely stop coming and have not returned as of today, November 30, 2021. The workers said they needed a City Inspection. Mr. ********************** finally admitted that he did not apply for a building permit but said he had been in constant contact with the ****************** He told me he would meet me because I needed to sign and have notarized consent forms. After weeks of excuses, we met at *** on Nov 10 to sign the Permit Request. Mr. ********************** said he would email the request in and he had previously left his credit card info to process the fee. On Nov 23, I called the ************* to confirm and I was told by the processing clerk, Nodia, that a permit request was not filed and no one in the office had spoken to Mr. **********************.Payments to Mr. ********************** May 17. ******** Oct 4. ******** Oct 15. ******** Nov 18. ******** Nov 18. ******** TOTAL. $ ********* Mr. ********************** was very convincing and believable in his pitch to me. He told me about his strong affiliation with the *************************** and even showed me pictures of his dog, ******* being a Breast Cancer Mascot for the organization. Being a three time cancer survivor myself I felt his compassion. Clearly, Mr. ********************** has taken advantage of my age, lack of knowledge in building, as well as my trusting spirit.I had an independent Inspection and was told the structure needed to be demolished and started over correctly. Example: My roof is styrofoam panels glued to the brick on the house and one center beam. The flooring is held up by 2x4 boards. The pressed wood flooring is not appropriate to lay hardwood on (see attachment). Even though there is not a permit, I asked an Inspector from the ***************** to give me his accessment of the work done by Georgia Sunroom. Some of his concerns were: There was not a brace installed to support the bay window. The subfloor needs to be taken off to correct this issue. Need wood rafting to support the agreed upon shingle roof. The foundation band should be double thickness wood but Georgia Sunroom installed one single board. Need footers completely around the room. The Inspector could not understand the purpose of the styrofoam roof. The deception has become overwhelming and I need help. Whatever help the Better Business Bureau can offer me would be gratefully appreciated. Please know that I have threads of text messages, e-mails as well as bank statements to substitute my complaints. They are all available upon request. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter. ********************* ***

I signed a contract on May 15, 2021 with **** from Georgia Sunroom to do a project in the amount of $22,700, with $9080 paid at time of signing. The work was to be commenced 6-8 weeks from that signing and complete not later than 2-4 weeks afterwards. Since that time, I have had numerous contacts with **** by phone and text, but no work has been performed and no materials have been delivered. He has offered empty promises of having someone deliver materials or having an installer call me. Nothing has actually been done. When pressed, he has used any of a number of excuses for the delay - rain has set us back, one of my guys was out due to COVID, the truck delivering your supplies broke down. I have run out out patience and would like to either have: a) the work start immediately and be finished within 4 weeks as agreed to, or b) have my money back so that I can work with another company.
