We hired ***** Franklin of Franklin Builders LLC to erect our steel home and frame the inside of it with lumber. Initially the professional relationship started off fine and they were able to erect the steel beams and get some of the framing done in May-June 2022 timeframe.We asked if it would be possible for the framing to be done by July 5, 2022 so that we could get the plumbers in to work on the house. They responded that it wouldnt be an issue at all and would be done well before then. July 5th came and went, they were nowhere near completed with the framing.***** informed us that he had to work another job for a couple weeks and then he would be back on ours to finish up. We were disappointed but understood and said that would be fine. He came back around July 10th to unload some steel from a delivery truck for the building and we havent seen him since. *** texted and called him on numerous occasions, asking him when he would be available to come back. Each time his response was Im working as fast as I can while not giving any timeline. *** also been in contact with the owner of the other house that ***** has been supposedly working on and it turns out that ***** hasnt been to his job site on a regular basis. I spoke with the homeowner today and found out that Its been 6 days since ***** was last there.I called ***** today asking for a partial refund so that I could find someone else to finish our home as its now been 7 weeks since he has been on our property. We are supposed to move out of our home at the end of October and thanks to Franklin Builders LLC we likely wont be able to move out until January. ***** has done nothing to try and resolve my issues. He took almost $30,000 from us and has done at most 50% of the work which we have paid him for. We just want some of our money back so that we can afford to pay someone else to finish our home.
