    On August 28th, I booked Top Tier Moving LLC through the platform called Thumbtack for unloading moving labor to coordinate with a POD storage unit. The moving agreement was scheduled for a 2 hour minimum from 12pm to 2pm on Saturday, 9/16/2023. The moving company required a deposit +fee to pay via credit card totaling $104.00 (See attached agreement & proof of payment). On the day of service, I contacted the owner to confirm the time at 12pm, he did not pick up the phone. The owner via text alleged that the 12 to 2 timeframe was an ETA and they would be there at 2 pm. The moving labor did not arrive at 2pm and gave a new time at 3:30pm. The owner also acknowledged that they overbooked and were at another moving request. Ultimately, they could not fulfill their contractual agreement with me at the booked time. I also discovered through Thumbtack that the moving company left the referral service platform on the day of my service. I became uncomfortable and concerned that they were unprofessional, unreliable and not reputable and canceled the service. Since the company left the platform without notification to me on the day of service 9/16/23, no Mediation could occur to resolve the dispute. The Thumbtack platform offers a service guarantee for their vendors/ participants when services are un rendered. They should not have accepted a job request if they were already committed to another customer that day and should have informed me that they were no longer affiliated with Thumbtack on the day of service. I am requesting that the moving company honor the customer service guarantee offered on the Thumbtack platform they were booked through and return my deposit of $104.00 in full.

    I had agreed to a quote over the phone, and given them an itemized packing list to move my household cross country and store my furniture until my new home was ready. When the movers showed up, they told me that I had to much stuff to fit in the allotted space, and that there was also going to be a new transfer fee because my stuff was being stored somewhere other than I was told. This raised my quote by about ***** Dollars. When I told the contacted movers that this was unacceptable, and that I was calling the company I had booked with, they just left. Leaving me to scramble to get my stuff moved the day before I closed on the sale of my home. It felt like a scam, and talking to the originating booking company yielded no results.
