On November 10th, I pulled into the KFC in **********, ** and ordered a 2-piece box of chicken. They served me chicken straight out the grease and it severely burnt my index finger, middle finger, and my thumb. It wasn't until later that night, at approximately 9 PM, I returned to the location and showed the night manager that they had blistered up making them almost twice the size. The night manager refused to give me the district managers phone number. I called the store Sunday, and they said that the general manager would give me a call. I still haven't received a call from the general manager. Monday morning, my VA homecare nurse came to my house at 10 AM to clean and dress my wounds. Tuesday at the ******************, my physician looked at my wounds and referred me to *********************** Center. That Wednesday morning, I returned to the KFC and the counter was empty and the cashier announced from the window that the man that burned his hand was here. It took about 10 minutes for the manager to come out. Long story short, my middle finger was degloved, meaning the skin came right off revealing the flesh underneath. I followed all the procedures and I'm severely injured, and my right hand has been rendered useless.
